   Went there for a family dinner for my wife’s birthday. Great ambience and decor. Food was generally good with the scallop starters, freshwater eel sashimi and fried rice particular highlights. The cocktails didn’t appeal to us. The service was on the slower side, though the staff was courteous and very helpful.

   Our waitress was very helpful, she had a big table to take care of and forgot about us a few times. Otherwise great food and great prices for a nice dinner out. Live DJ on Saturday night

   I personally enjoyed the food, however, it is not something I’d entirely revisit. I tried the omaksu tasting menu and enjoyed the courses for the most part. The only thing in particular is that the dishes just didn’t have that wow factor, or any flavors that particularly stood out. The miso fish was my favorite hot meal, and the uni was my favorite for the cold meals. Our waiter was fantastic she was endearing and sweet. The ambiance was warm and the dj played good music. Overall, the experience was great, I’d just recommend getting the upgraded tasting menu.

   Our favorite restaurant in Houston! They put so much effort into your experience and the food and you can tell as soon as you enter the restaurant all the way until you leave. We’ve been multiple times and every time we go it’s delicious.

   Wow! This truly was a journey for your palate. If you love food, if you truly *appreciate* food and flavor, this is the place for you. Heavy emphasis on the appreciation for food and flavors. The creativity of the menu was impeccably well-balanced and delicious. We even wound up ordering double when it came to down to it. Stick to all starts and the vegetables, you will not be disappointed. Each crudo was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The vegetables were so full of flavor, you don’t even feel like you needed to eat meat. And the spicy beef tenderloin was full of flavor and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The service and the ambience matched the top-tier service from our server Jonathan.

    This was our first time to Azumi and it instantly catapulted to a Top 3 sushi joint in our opinion. We’ll be back very soon!
