   As one can imagine, Valentine's Day was a mad house. Fortunately we arrived 20 minutes early for our 6:30 reservation. The gentleman handling things was polite, apologetic that they were running a little behind and we waited only until 6:35 to get our table. He ran the table placements like a general going to war. Not once did he lose his temper or be rude. I'd have clobbered some of those people. The staff was just as pleasant and kind (amid all the chaos) as they could be and the service was excellent. Thank you Cabel! The food was excellent and I cannot recommend the professionalism of staff nor the restaurant more.

   Overall experience was very lacking. Ordered one glass of wine and one frozen drink and it took 30 min to get to our table, we had already finished our appetizer. The silverware had dried on food, and the wine glass was dirty. The server was friendly and the food was okay, but overpriced for the overall experience.

   We went to Babin’s because it was highly rated on TripAdvisor. The food was mediocre at best. There has to be better choices in the Katy area. Cocktails were forgettable, rock found in the Oysters Rockefeller appetizer, sausage in the red beans and rice beyond chewy, wife’s shrimp cocktail filled with popcorn size shrimp(ettes) with a mayonnaise based, flavorless sauce was very unappetizing. The service was good but otherwise would not recommend Babin’s.

   Never disappointed here: we had the Golden Tile and Crabcakse, with side of Asparagus and Moscato.. excellent, highly recommend

   The food was ok, I thought it would be a lot better. The sauce on the red snapper is not good at all the red snapper was good. The sauce should be on the side. I also had the variety of oyster they were so so … The crab cakes were not ok they were gummy and didn’t taste fresh at all…

   Cajun Mary and oysters Vieux Carre for perfect starters -Stacy G is THE BEST! Rainbow Trout pan-sautéed with Lemon butter and capers with crabmeat topping amazing!

   Busy NYE dinner. 7pm reservation was honored within 15 min upon arrival, excellent. The waiter was busy, couldnt stop him from getting our orders soon enough. Spinach and artichoke dip came luke warm, and tortilla chips broke with the cool cheese. Trout with lobster and butter was good,although skin was salty. Pasta del mare was excellent. Along with the hurricane and orleans punch cocktails, dinner went fairly well for a busy NYE crowd.

    Our server Jocelyn was amazing! The restaurant was packed and she was juggling 6 tables. She was helpful with our questions and prompt with our order. Jocelyn made our NYE experience the best!
