About this restaurant

  • Fancy
  • Good for special occasions
  • Lively
Culinary artistry, inspired by historic Greco-Roman feasts. The Mediterranean’s finest ingredients are given centre-stage, and dishes are finished at table to theatrical acclaim.

Breath-taking interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, where classical myths are retold through a modern palette of the most refined materials, and comforts to sink into.

Dramatic artworks by Damien Hirst soar over the dining area, whilst the eye falls on piece after piece of original, antique sculpture.

It was good, however they were quite rude and forceful about photos in the main dining room with flash on. It is extremely dark in there and After paying so much money for food, I should be able to take at least 3/4 photos with flash on so I can acc capture the experience I paid for.

A very unique experience that takes you back in time. The décor and the staff’s clothing complemented each other perfectly. The food was well-cooked and nicely presented, and the waiters were kind and helpful. That being said, I still wouldn’t recommend it or go again. We were a group of three and shared bread and octopus along with a bottle of Greek wine (£75). For the main course, we ordered Leg of Lamb with side dishes—potatoes and grilled vegetables. For dessert, we had pineapple brûlée and pistachio cheesecake. The total bill was £480. For such an expensive meal, customers should be allowed to relax and enjoy their time. Instead, we were rushed after just 1 hour and 40 minutes, being told that our table was booked for someone else and that we had only 15 minutes left. We had to choose our desserts while still eating our main course, finish our wine immediately, and rush through our meal. By the time we finished, our desserts were already waiting for us, and the next group had arrived. I refuse to pay such a high price in the future only to be treated this way. A restaurant of this caliber should ensure that customers are satisfied and happy to return, rather than making them feel rushed. I ended up with stomach pain all night because I had to eat so quickly. Very disappointing. Customers should stop supporting restaurants that treat them this way. I have traveled all over the world, and London is the only place where I have been told to leave after two hours.

It is not nice at all to be told to leave the bill on the table while we are drinking our tea and eating our dessert. It was annoying that the waiter kept telling us to get up.

Bacchanalia London: Stunning Ambience, Inconsistent Experience Bacchanalia is undeniably a visually stunning restaurant with an opulent atmosphere that makes for a fun night out. However, while the setting is impressive, the overall experience left much to be desired. The food was hit or miss—my fish dish lacked seasoning and depth of flavour, while my friend thoroughly enjoyed her lamb chops. Service was another weak point. The sommelier was unhelpful and dismissive, insisting we order a dark liquor-based drink special despite us clearly stating our preference for light spirits. When my friend, feeling pressured, ordered it and we later sent it back, the sommelier’s frustration was obvious. The arrival experience was also disappointing. Despite having a reservation, our table wasn’t ready on time, and we were directed to wait at the bar—only to find there were no seats available. We had to keep an eye out ourselves for open spots, and our table wasn’t ready for at least 15 minutes past our booking time. Additionally, while the bartenders encouraged us to return after dinner, we were surprised to find that the bar closes at the same time as the restaurant (around midnight), which felt unusually early for a venue of this calibre. Ultimately, Bacchanalia is worth visiting for the ambience and a drink, but the food and service didn’t live up to expectations. I’d likely return for the setting, but not for a full dining experience.

I booked a table for Women’s Day, and the entire experience was outstanding. From the moment we walked in, every member of staff was incredibly welcoming, greeting us warmly and making us feel truly valued. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portion sizes that made the meal even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself is stunning, with beautiful decor and impressive architecture throughout—even the toilets are elegantly designed! This place is an absolute gem, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
