   Our server was very nice and attentive. The food came out promptly and the drinks were great. Highly recommend it.

   The food was excellent, presentation, flavor etc., with the exception of my slightly undercooked sea bass. Great atmosphere and vibe but a very young, unsophisticated crowd. When we arrived for a 6:45 reservation most of the tables inside were empty, yet the hostess seated us outside. When I asked to be moved to inside she said the tables were all reserved. It made no sense, since when you make a reservation you do not choose where to sit. She eventually agreed to move us inside but seemed a little annoyed by it. Our young waitress more than made up for it with efficient, friendly service.

   We had a wonderful dinner here. The service was excellent and food delicious! We each had something different and loved it. We shared the meatballs, whipped ricotta and bread service - all of which were excellent.

   This was a last minute choice, and we loved it from the moment we got there. The manager was kind, personable, and attentive. The waiter was efficient, the food was delicious, and the bartender fixed excellent drinks. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. We would definitely return if in the area again.

   We had a fantastic experience. We loved the whole experience from the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, but our waitress was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

   This is typically one of our favorite restaurants, but our recent experience was so disappointing. Though our waiter was very friendly, he returned to the table at least twice because he kept forgetting our order. We were happy that he ultimately returned with a pen and pad! I ordered my favorite drink from B and B, but it was incorrectly made and it was also not good. I returned it. (I do appreciate that the error was realized and the drink was removed from our bill). My dish, halibut, sounded delicious on the menu! Sadly, it was undercooked, the pistachio sauce was tasteless, and the salad was watery. I had already sent my drink back, so I was not about to also send my meal back. Someone else in our party ordered a steak, which was rare versus medium as ordered. I am glad to report that the bolognese another person in our party ordered was reportedly excellent! I'm not sure what was going on that night, but I hope they can get back to being the restaurant we previously enjoyed.

   Bar and Board is an excellent choice for downtown Newport dining. Reserve a table!

    Atmosphere, service, and drinks were great. Making your own board isn't worth the high prices of individually choosing cheese and meats. Would go back for the bar and a full meal, but if you're a meat and cheese fan, you will be underwhelmed.
