   Had a lovely experience here. Every morsel of food consumed during this visit was unique and delicious. Service was examplary - from their recommendations on menu choices to their attention to detail. Stellar wine list. Well worth the wait for a reservation.

   From the minute you walk in … you are spoiled and loved and given the best tasting food!! We extras. Wow … They are incredible .. they work together and are efficient and spoil you. Consistent and delicious!! Just had the best dinner. Prawn toast… pork collar…. Wow. Lemon 🍋 desert …. Wow.

   The food was delicious, drinks were tasty and the service was great. The fried boconccini, prawn toast and charred cabbage were my favourites.

   We were very excited to try this restaurant. Our party of 4 arrived a few minutes early and our table wasn’t ready so we received a glass of Prosecco while we waited which was nice. Our waitress was very outgoing and service was great. The crispy sunchokes were delicious as well as the feature pasta. Prawn toast was great. The beef ribs had good flavour but were difficult to eat and share even though we put two orders in for 4 of us. There was barely any food! The pork was cooked just right and there was enough to share this time. We opted out of dessert as we didn’t feel it was worth it. To be frank, the food was wonderful but the quantity was lacking. Paying $30 for 8 small (but delicious) pieces of pasta didn’t leave our group feeling content. We have eaten at many high end restaurants in Calgary (Ten Foot Henry, Salt and Brick, Major Tom’s, Rouge and Pizza Culture just to name a few this past 6 months) and sadly likely will not recommend Bar Gigi restaurant for the value factor.

   Had a great first date here last night. It's an intimate spot that's cozy and small. Tons of mood lighting sets the vibes. I wonder what they do with the huge patio in the summer. We ordered a few dishes to share: Hamachi Scallops in crudo, yuzu kosho and lime Beef Rib in this sick semi-sweet sauce Spaghetti 🍝 with duck confit The scallops and beef dishes were amazing. Would order each of them again. The spaghetti dish was good but didn't love it as much. We also each got one drink. The bill was ~$120 with a tip. Felt fair as service was good and attentive.

   Personally I think Bar Gigi is overrated. Small, dark with blaring music. Food is subpar, especially for the price. The staff are friendly and personable.

   Another outstanding experience at Bar Gigi! The mussels and scallops are dreamy with just the right amount of acidity that makes the dishes pop. Love the prawn toast and the charred cabbage is over the top! Second time visiting and received the same impeccable service. Thank you!

    When we arrived for our reservation at 5:15 pm we were welcomed and seated immediately as we were the first guests of the evening. Our server advised us that there was a reservation coming in after us at 7:15 pm and we acknowledged and said that should not be an issue. We loved the food, however, the hovering of the server which turned into more than one server was a little too much for our table. We were there to catch up and with the music turned up a little too much it was not easy to converse. Both of us found the restaurant to be dimly lit aka dark inside. With two drinks, 3 small plates and 1 large plate our tab was $130 including tip but both of us said we were still hungry.
