   Adam is a phenomenal waiter! I initially planned to do the tasting menu, but my party preferred the regular menu option. Appetizers were not as good as I anticipated. We ordered the steak tartare and dozen oysters. I have had way better. Steak tartare was mediocre at best (I would definitely recommend adjusting the recipe). Oysters tasted “fishy” to me. And if you are a seafood fanatic you understand what I mean. The other two in my party didn’t mind them. It was very loud which is understandable for a small place, but it was difficult to hold conversations at our table. We were going to order dinner but I had to leave. So we didn’t get anything else. Lastly, I was told that their drinks and burgers are delicious and your best option. I would probably come back to try that and still ensure I request Adam as our waiter!

   We went family-style at Bar Pigalle, and it was the best way to experience what this place has to offer. The menu is packed with creative, French-inspired dishes perfect for sharing. We started with Caviar, Hamachi Crudo, and Steak Tartare—light and beautifully presented. The Mushroom Gratin was rich and satisfying. For mains, we had Mussels, Duck Confit, and Saffron Risotto—all thoughtfully crafted. Dessert was Crème Brûlée, Blood Orange Cheesecake, and Pumpkin Gâteau, with the Pumpkin Gâteau as the standout. It was fun trying a bit of everything, and the food was genuinely good. That said, it’s not somewhere I’d visit all the time. The portions are small, and while the experience was solid, it didn’t leave me craving a return visit. Still, it’s worth keeping in your rotation for special nights out or to mix things up occasionally.

   Great food, some of the best we’ve had in metro Detroit. Just make sure you plan for a few hours, as this will be served to you in courses! Well worth it.

   Fantastic tasting menu with wine pairings. A top class experience, wonderful staff, amazing chef and ambiance. This was our second time to enjoy the tasting menu and if you want a special experience we highly recommend you try it!

   The Christmas Eve brunch at Bar Pigalle was excellent. The food and service were fantastic. The only thing I recommend is to better time the courses so there isn’t a large wait time between each one.

   I never, ever waste time on writing poor reviews - I believe word-of-mouth is still the truest form of good (or bad) advertising. But this experience was really bad. We were excited to try another “newer” restaurant in Detroit, but sadly things fell flat right after we were seated by the friendly hostess. Between the ultra snooty servers (both our main server and the server who poured our wine) and the small, mediocre portion of fries and baked Brie we ordered as starters, we ultimately decided to give up trying and leave even though we still had half a bottle of wine to finish. We tried, but we won’t be going back.

   Went there with my wife before a Red Wings game. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. Not a big selection, but not uncommon these days.

    My wife and I came here because we both love French food and this place was highly rated. After dining here, we see why. Delicious food, excellent service and a great ambiance. We’d absolutely eat here again if we were back in Detroit.
