   My food was absolutely delicious. I had the very tender carne asada. Each of the sides had a unique taste. The family with me seemed happy with their drinks and beverages. The wait staff was superb. A+

   The food and service were good. Felt like the portion sizes were small for the prices they charge. Not sure if I would go back.

   Everything was really nice… we ate inside & could still really heard cars outside… very interesting as Barrio Queen is in the middle of a shopping area so no empty long streets

   From the greeting, seating, service, and of course, to the drinks and food, our Saturday afternoon visit to Barrio Queen was wonderful. We enjoyed a new seasonal offering as a starter, each enjoying a different kind of margarita, and completed our meal with two of the specialties, and a pair of Mexican cervezas. The service was excellent, attentive but maintaining an unhurried atmosphere.

   The server was very sweet but very busy. She had all the bar, part of the dinning room & the patio. Service was a bit slow as expected with the server being overwhelmed by tables. The food, it's not the same as it once was. The original in Scottsdale was always my favorite place to go. When this one opened on the west side I was super excited. This was our first visit since it opened and we probably won't be back. Not because of the service, but the food was not the quality we expected based on the original. The bill was close to $100 and we didn't even drink or have dessert. That's an expensive lunch.

   Worst guacamole and worst burrito I’ve ever had. Save your money. Also, one of the food runners used the F word twice while talking to us.

   The food needs help!!! The Chile Verde was like a puddle of verde sauce with 2 bites of pork total chopped and dropped into it. It was a joke. We ordered 2 guacamoles for the table. It took the waitress about 30 minutes to finally get around to making it tableside. The avocado was cut into very large chunks with other items dumped on top. Strangest guacamole any of us ever had; like guacamole that was made by a 6 year old. It was a Sunday evening at 6pm and the restaurant was not busy at all, yet it took forever to get orders and food. It was like no one knew what they were doing. I tried for a week prior to make this reservation and turns out you can only make a reservation online one day in advance. Who makes such a non user-friendly policy that makes it difficult for customers to plan? Tried to call the restaurant several times to make the reservation. They don't answer the phone; not even the takeout order line. Serious malfunction issues here. Get it together Barrio Queen!!!
