Barrio is a vibrant, casual restaurant and tequila bar specializing in chef driven Latin cuisine with a sultry bar atmosphere located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Barrio is known for made-to-order guacamole, fresh salads, tortas, tacos, enchiladas, and tamales, all made from scratch.
The extensive beverage menu displays over 100 varieties of tequila, unique cocktails, craft beer and wine. Happy Hour is served Monday-Friday 3-6pm and lunch and dinner are served 7 days a week. During the spring and summer, join us on our patio located on Nicollet Mall to relax and people-watch while sipping “The Trinity,” our hand-crafted signature margarita!

The margaritas are very good. The chips I only go when Barrio is near another venue I'm attending and I feel like a margarita. I feel like it wouldn't take that much to take the food to the next level. Disappointing that we settle for this food.

It was a great atmosphere but i thought it was very overrated! The food seemed very expensive for small portions. If you are looking for an authentic Latin cuisine place, this is not it. This is definitely on the Americanized/ boujee side. I would recommend it for drinks and the guacamole but not if you want a full meal.

I had a great experience overall! Didn’t see really anything special for the table we reserved though, vs other tables that were first come first served.

Bar restaurant just two blocks from orchestra hall. Numerous small plate choices of upscale Mexican food. The chips and salsa comes with an array of three different salsas if varying spiciness. Chicken mole was good but not exceptional. Pork fish and chicken tacos were all good value but messy to eat by hand.
