Bastille Brasserie & Bar is located at the corner of North Fayette & Pendleton Street in Alexandria VA.

Chefs Christophe & Michelle Poteaux's award winning restaurant & bar, located in Old Town Alexandria, has continuously offered guests fresh takes on classic French cuisine, all within our quaint neighborhood brasserie.

Our creations are rooted in the use of seasonal, locally sourced and farm fresh ingredients. Our passion for French food, wine & culture is what we celebrate daily with all of Alexandria & the DMV.     The food was great apart from a mix up in our order due to allergy note not being followed. They did bring out a new plate, but that was after already eaten a portion of the food not knowing it has the allergen in the sauce.

    The special menu for Valentine's Day was simply delicious. The wine pairings matched each course and the service is always the best at Bastille! All I can say is this closed out the evening nicely, was a real value and delicious! Book your reservation today!

    We had an amazing meal at Bastille. Our table wasn’t ready at our reservation time and we had a bit of a wait. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne for the inconvenience. Such a nice touch! Our meal was incredible and when they found out, it was my husband‘s birthday… They gave him a birthday card with a 50% off coupon for our next visit. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. The tables are not too close together so the noise level isn’t unbearable. All in all, a wonderful experience.

    Service was very attentive and food was outstanding. Try the duck entree for restaurant week and the warm chocolate cake!
