   Bathers is not what it used to be. After dining there many times over 20+ years, I was disappointed in new ownership. Service was pushy and slow. Food was very rich and very small portions. 3 hours for 3 courses is just too slow. Room too noisy for normal conversation (and we were at the quiet end). Very poor value for money. Location is brilliant but there are plenty of better options now. I get it - they over-paid for it, then Covid hit, now they are trying to recover the cost. But overcharging for ordinary food and service is not the way.

   We had dined in for lunch for my husbands 35th birthday. What a celebration it was, the moment we stepped foot into the venue we were greeted with warmth and courtesy. Once we were seated, our waiter, Neil I believe his name was, showed attention to detail and guided us in ensuring we had the best experience possible. His knowledge of the food and wine was nothing short of impressive. The food then flowed and I have to say, the food is at a level that is beyond what we were expecting. From the presentation to the taste, every snack, every dish just left us speechless. We have dined in 3 hat restaurants, michelin star venues overseas but the food we had for my Husbands birthday lunch at Bathers Pavillion exceeded the wow factor we had experienced in such establishments. Chef Aaron is truely a chef in his own league, his raw talent is put on show with every bite and you’d be foolish not to experience his palate. Ofcourse with great food comes fantastic wine, the wine list is super lux that is driven by the sommelier Iian, who just like our waiter was honed in his craft and provided excellent wine advise with his expertise. Overall, we could not fault a thing nor would you want to you with the talent that is under the Bather’s Pavillion roof.

   Food on par with Sydney’s best, a stellar wine list & outstanding cocktails. Service is excellent friendly, knowledgeable & warm, a happy team. It's a beautiful room, distance between tables is generous, acoustics are great & you can’t beat that view. Perfect for a lovely lunch for two or group celebrations. Congrats on your #smhfoodguide two hats. Well deserved 👏

   What a fantastic evening, from being greeted when we arrived, to great service from staff. The meals were so fresh, full of amazing flavours, and the presentation was beautiful. The setting and view was just lovely, great atmosphere too.

    In Sydney for a romantic dinner. Based on reviews I thought I’d try Bathers Pavillion. I was shocked at the price $140 for 2 courses. Way better restaurants in my home town - for $140 it’s a 7-course degustation and the food is so much better. Unlikely to return.
