   Service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not busy - there was only one other table of people while we were there. The bartender/waiter took our drink orders and then prepared the drinks. I guess he decided all of the drinks had to come out at the same time. The first thing he did was to take beer out of the fridge and open it. Then, it sat there warming and going flat for, no kidding, 30 minutes while he made the other drinks. By the time the drinks were served, everyone at our table was commenting on why it took so long. The beer was warm. Then, for the food order, he brought out 2 dishes at a time. He did not serve everyone at once. By the time the last of our party of 8 was served, the first people in our group had finished eating. He then asked if we wanted dessert, but by then we were all just anxious to leave.

   Lansing has a jewel here with Batter Up Bistro. Great food, service and ambiance. Our waiter, Alex, made our experience even better with his knowledge of the menu and sense of humor. We will be back!!

   Quaint hidden gem in Lansing. Food was exceptional. Atmosphere was inviting and cozy. Limited menu, but excellent choices. Fantastic cocktails and Alex was a great server/bartender.

   The food was bland. My fillet mignon was cooked right but lacked any unique or interesting flavors. For the price I would not expect to need A1 sauce on my steak, but alas I did. The service was slow, to be fair, it was Valentine's day weekend. The bread that came out before our meal didn't taste fresh. This experience would have been acceptable at an Applebee's or some fast food restaurant, but this was a huge disappointment for an expensive meal. We enjoyed the $10 cold pizza we bought for our babysitter than the $150 meal for 2 at this restaurant.

   We were there for a good 10-15 minutes until our server came to us. It was the bartender and he was running around and making sure that everyone was ok and making drinks. I asked was he the server and bartender and he said yes. There were quite a few people in there and he was already working hard so I just gave him a tip and told him to keep working hard and left. We did not order anything. I recognized that he had a bar full of people along with 3 tables. He was amazing and his customer service was top notch.

   The food at Batter Up Bistro is always excellent. Great atmosphere. Friendly and attentive wait staff. We had a very nice dinner with friends over the weekend.

    The service here was amazing; they were very attentive to our table and made sure that we were doing alright. The food tasted delicious and was prepared very professionally. I came here to celebrate my anniversary, and I will continue to do so because of this experience!
