Beatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant and meeting place in Chicago’s River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Oak Brook neighborhoods. The restaurant is the brainchild of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Founder Rich Melman, Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs and Chef Partners John Chiakulas, Rita Dever and Susan Weaver. The menu features healthy meets delicious options, and is known for its iconic coffee and bakery counter, including signature cookies, in-house pastry favorites and our house blends from Beatrix Coffee Roasters, featuring Light, Dark, Espresso and Decaf roasts.

                                                                      The host was unprofessional and inexperienced. The manager was just as unimpressive. The food was average for the cost. The slow cooked short rib was very sweet. The host stated that for birthdays the establishment offered a complementary dessert or drink. The manager disclosed to the entire table that the restaurant only offered a complementary dessert for birthdays in front of our entire party. At the end of the dinner, the host said there was no dessert left. Sadly, the birthday we were attempting to celebrating was soured by the unpleasant experience. There are better options in the area.

                                                                      Came here for a divorce party they were able to accommodate our large group on Valentine’s Day. The meal was great service was a bit slow, but due to the holiday.

                                                                      Another wonderful experience at Beatrix! The Mushroom Quinoa burger and Ginger Chicken Kale salad were both excellent. Out service was also great. We will be back.

                                                                      Chicken Bebe, faroe island salmon and rigatoni added salmon were all delicious. The whipped feta and triple A salad were terrific as well. Monday night half price bottle of wine night was a bonus. Took home the tall dark handsome chocolate cake and some cookies. Wonderful evening

                                                                      We did the Restaurant Week promotion. It was a great value with delicious food and service. We’ve dined at Beautrix before but this time we tried something different. We’re looking forward to dining at Beautrix very soon.
