I was booked for Sunday Roast but the evening before I received an email telling me the chef had an emergency and they would not be opening the restaurant the next day, so I can’t comment but I won’t be in a hurry to book again

Food was very average - even with a limited menu not all choices were available- certainly not worth the cost. It is a lovely building in a beautiful location and should be buzzing on a Sunday - but there was only one other table occupied while we were there and no atmosphere at all. Our waitress was very pleasant but overall not an experience that we will repeat

Belair house has just re-opened and we were the only customers in the dining room - the service was excellent and food was good.

I booked a table for my father's birthday through OpenTable. When I arrived, the Belair House was closed for lunch. I can't express how upset and angry I was that a reservation was permitted to be made when the restaurant was closed.

Belair is in a beautiful setting, the rooms are elegant and spacious the food was delicious but there is a little something that is missing too make it a special experience. The food was very tasty.

Today Belair House via Open Book thanked us for dining with them and asked us to rate them - unbelievable as we were unable to dine with them because of their inefficiency and incompetence! After 2 reminders to confirm the booking made on 20/10/23, which were responded to promptly, we arrived at the venue for my daughter's Birthday Afternoon Tea prior to the 12:30-pm booking last Saturday, to find it being prepared for a wedding and to discover that we could not have the booked and confirmed Afternoon Tea! The employee just kept repeating his mantra that we had not chosen the items to eat 48 hours before but in neither of the two messages from them via Open Table had it requested that we did this! We have enjoyed Afternoon Teas many times all over the place including London and this has never been a requirement before. He did not apologise, make any attempt to sort this out and the only thing he kept repeating was what we had not done and that they could not prepare us an Afternoon Tea - although we could stay there and have an Indian meal in their Restaurant - false advertising surely? We will never return, even though my daughter lives nearby and are already suggesting that no one we know does as this was a hugely disappointing and unpleasant experience on a Birthday and what was meant to be a celebration ended up in an unpleasant and unnecessary confrontation. Appalling Customer Service - in fact NO Customer Service.

I took my family there thinking it was going to be Indian cuisine ,on Sunday at lunch time. To our disappointment, it was English roast. We were the only family there. Why not serve Indian or continental. Why would I go to an Indian restaurant for English roast.
