    Our first time at this Benihana location and we were really disappointed. We selected to sit in the Lounge because we don’t always need to see the show. The server was also the bartender, so service was slow and sporadic. We were told our food would be right out and then a long while later it arrived looking like it had been sitting under heat lamps for a while and it wasn’t even hot anymore. When we told our server about the food temperature, he was going to let the manager know but the manager didn’t even come talk to us. We got 10% off… We had a few other issues that the server tried to correct but it didn’t help the dining experience. Not sure if we’ll return to this location.

    They extended the birthday certificate an extra month and I was so thankful cause December was such a busy month. I was hesitant to go because the last 2 times I’ve come the service had really declined. I was told we didn’t have to sit at the grill to use the certificate so we opted for the lounge thinking we could have a better experience. Our waiter sucked we got there at 545. He didn’t even take out order 20 minutes after the happy hour sushi was served until 6 since he didn’t even take out order he said he would give us the sushi at happy hour price. We ordered the hibachi Chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly but served before the sushi when asked about the sushi they said it was busy and the order was put in all at once and the sent to the table when whatever was ready. When told we ordered it first the food was served at 6:42. We got our soup and salad at the same time first. The drinks weren’t given to us til 15 min after we ate the soup and salad and we had to ask for it. The servers name on the receipt was William but not even sure if that was the name of our server cause I asked for the manager and she comped part of our meal. The manager was nice nothing against her . But the waiter was all over the place. The food was amazing as always. Maybe we’ll order Togo next time.

    We happened in on what we thought was a training day because there were workers everywhere. But then when it came to service, they were wandering around chatting to one another sitting and folding napkins, and standing around. One waitress was taking pictures of a friend of hers and what we thought was the manager walked by watching everything going on with everybody visiting and chatting and not taking care of customers and he seemed OK with it. We had four different people that we had to reach out to for checking on our order, water refills, and to take care of finding where our bill was. There was a couple that was seated, and they were not addressed by a server for 20 minutes, sitting at a table nearby us. We ordered a six course meal we never received the tea we had to ask for the ice cream when they brought us the bill and the response we had was oh yeah, you can have some ice cream. This is the third time that we’ve gone to this Benihana‘s And we decided this was the last time and we will actually make the drive into Ontario for the service we expect for the price that you pay

    We waited over an hour from our reservation time to be seated. Reservations mean absolutely nothing to them. There were tons of unhappy customers, Terrible customer experience. Benihana you need to care more about your guests!! There are many other restaurants in Temecula that people can and can will choose to eat at.

    The chef and food were excellent. But the service was extremely slow and uneven. It took far too long between courses. The table next to us sat there for an hour waiting for their chef. It wasn’t the quality of the staff, but the quantity. The restaurant was overbooked for the number of people working.

    I had expected the same dining experience I've had in the past. I was completely disappointed when I entered. Had reservations but seated 45 min late. It was like dining in a sports bar. It's a sports bar atmosphere ALL THE WAY. You enter with a bar and customers in sweats and T-shirts. They're not enforcing their dress policy. Won't be returning. Going to Shogun from now on. The only consolation was our chef and the food was very tasty.

    Even though we had a reservation, we still had to wait around an additional 30 minutes. This restaurant was OK, the food was good, however, the portions were small compared to what you pay.
