   Our small party of two had been looking forward to this meal for quite some time. The reviews we’d seen looked outstanding! ⭐️ The ambience was quaint and beautiful, and we really enjoyed the design/layout. ⭐️ Food wise - we shared the charred bannock, grilled eggplant, potato dumplings and rabbit ragu, and skirt steak. All of the dishes were fabulous; with the exception of the skirt steak. We both regretted not trying something different on the menu. ⭐️ Oddly, the serving staff was the strangest part of the experience. For such a fine dining place, we were surprised that the two servers seemed almost as if they were brand new. They were very difficult to hear, and it felt as though they didn’t really know the menu nor the establishment. I would’ve expected staff who were confident in what they were serving / selling… it was very strange and like nothing I have experienced before. I hope they can grow to have a bit more confidence in themselves as everything else about the place was great

   Valentine's tasting menu was fantastic! The ocheshishak (rice) with duck hearts and livers is amazing and made in an incredibly savoury broth. We added the PEI oysters with strawberry mignonette which were fresh and silky smooth. The pipon (winter) salad is awesome and the grilled salmon with beet puree was perfectly prepared! The staff and owners were attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable about the perfect wine pairing for each course. The artwork and ambiance makes a perfect environment to enjoy Indigenous inspired dishes that are sourced primarily locally, but definitely nationally. Indigenous food is the original and best sustainable, nutritional, and tariff free sustenance for body and soul. Bernadette's is best!

   We sat at the bar, which was fantastic. Our server told us so much about all the dishes and drinks we had. And all the food was fantastic. Also amazing non-alcoholic cocktails!

   The service was great! Our server was good The tables is too close and you can heard other people talking . The service was rushing almost feel like dine dash The steak was bit too salty

   This may very well be the best restaurant I've ever eaten at! The food was absolutely incredible, and the staff were very accommodating of dietary restrictions. The servers were very knowledgeable about all the food and drinks while being very friendly and attentive. This is definitely more of a fancy date place budget-wise, but it was the perfect spot to celebrate an anniversary!

   Incredible food- the menu from the was switched up from the website but both menus had great options. If the menu seems small or you are unsure- just dive in. We went as 2 couples and tried about 8 items and EVERY single one we would order again. The potato dumplings and rabbit ragu was the top fave at the table but easily as enjoyable was the brisket, the elk carpaccio, the scallops and the osso bucco. Kudos to the chef- local items served in the most special way! Great date night or girls night out place!

    Always amazing! Unique and interesting with professional yet understated service. This is my favourite restaurant in Edmonton.
