Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Ori Menashe & Genevieve Gergis

    MICHELIN Plate

    2022

From the OpenTable editors: Packed since the day it opened in 2012, Ori and Genevieve Menashe’s acclaimed California-Italian restaurant has made a name for itself for excellent cocktails, wood-fired pizzas, and now-iconic dishes like slow-roasted lamb neck. Housed in a former warehouse, the cavernous, industrial-chic restaurant ushered in a new era of Arts District dining—and feels just as vibrant and energetic as it did a decade ago.

The only one thing about Bestia is delicious like nowhere food. Overall too loud, too dark place. Will try to come earlier next time and maybe will choose to be sited outside, by the entrance.

Lives up to the hype. Everything we had was amazing and the soundtrack being “prom rap songs 2006” was a delight

Another wonderful meal at Bestia. The whipped ricotta melts in your mouth. The pizza is the best. Bar su chocolat for dessert was delicious.

Went to Bestia for my anniversary and we absolutely loved it. The staff were very kind and attentive, they knew we were there for our anniversary and they congratulated us which was really nice. Our server was able to give us good suggestions on which cocktails paired with our meals as well. The food was amazing and paced extremely well. Their holiday cookie torte was delicious! The aesthetic and vibe itself felt high class while still being warm and comfortable. The restaurant was a little loud and it was completely full when we went. The walk ways are a little narrow so they got a little chaotic at times but nothing too crazy. I would recommend getting there a little early if you want to fight for non-valet parking since there isn’t a lot, but if you do want valet, the process was easy and the fee was reasonable. Overall a wonderful experience!

An amazing culinary experience!! We decided to do the Chef’s menu to try many items. We enjoyed every bit of it. This was a business dinner for 10 people. We had such a great time and an experience we will remember for a long time. Service was perfect and the management and host were so accommodating. We’ll be back in L.A. next August for more business. I will definitely come back!! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! FYI..I am from Chicago with a plethora of amazing chefs and restaurants. To say your restaurant was this good is really saying something!!! Bravo!
