   Long chaotic queue. Not clear whether anyone was un charge. Had reservation and eventually got seated. Table not ready, no glasses. All the servers seemed petrified to talk to anyone. Asked for sauces which were thrown on the table. Asked for a tap water, bottle placed on table with no glasses. Asked for glasses and met with a big sigh. Mentioned the service when getting the bill and met with "we are busy" as yhough that should be an excuse. The service charge remains the same no matter how busy they are!

   Great meal after the theatre. Always good value and Calamari was particularly delicious

   The service was not great initially. For example, it took ages to have our order taken, get our drink, and the water we requested never arrived. After our plates were cleared, nobody came back to our table for about an hour to even ask if we wanted more drinks, a desert, or even the bill. Luckily my friend and I were catching up with one another and weren’t in a rush. Eventually a new server was assigned to our table and she was lovely and very attentive. She turned things around for Bills because we were not impressed with the service prior due to having been completely forgotten about and left to our own devices for very long periods.

   Such a great experience. Service was extremely friendly and the food was great. This is a nice airy restaurant where the staff are professional yet very friendly and welcoming. It's really a great place for value for money. I was really pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived. Highly recommended!

   Excellent service and enjoyable food. We were glad we’d booked as it was very busy. We were quickly seated and served.

   Service was slow. Ordered Dirty Vegan Burger and asked for Rosemary Chips to be replaced by Sweet Potato, but was charged extra. Luckily my 20% NHS discount compensated!

   Genuinely great service! I remembered I made a note to request for a window table when making the booking however the system couldn’t find it. But the very friendly staff immediately accommodated our request without having to make us wait for one second. We were very grateful. Such an attentive detail showcases their professionalism!

   •I had logged on my booking that we were celebrating my daughter's university graduation and thought someone would be said to her when we checked in but they didn't. Why ask the question on the booking if it is to be ignored? The set menu is cheap but I don’t think we’ll go to Bills again.

    I travelled all the way from Birmingham for a celebratory meal with my mother and sister. Things started off well, we arrived on time for our booking and joined the back of the long queue (popular establishment!) I’m a regular back home. The front of house staff, a brunette woman with glasses duly called out asking who had a booking. This meant we were able to proceed into the restaurant and take our seat with ease. She also followed my special instructions and warmly delivered my message to my mother-a special touch. Our order was then taken by a young man with black hair and blue eyes and he was patient and cheerful, considering it was 12.45pm on a Sunday and it was busy! The poor service began once our brunches arrived - we ordered the fondue starter and although the food was great quality the server a bespectacled black woman delivered the starter with no side plates for us! She herself said “plates.” Acknowledging the perplexed look on my sisters face. We thought this meant she would grab the side plates but she never did. She also served our Prosecco without a bucket of ice and I have never ever witnessed that in any establishment! She was extremely non verbal and cold to the point I thought it was a language barrier but she was happily laughing and joking with other tables. Any question we asked was an annoyance - we asked for sauces and she gave us watery, finished brown sauce bottles and acted like I asked for the earth when asking politely for mustard. Our finished plates were left on our table for an extended period of time and began to smell as she left us unattended and never asked how the food was. Her colleague asked her to take our desert order and we witnessed her look at us before making a bee-line to a table who told her they weren’t even ready(!) We called the manager over and she found herself near our table for the first time in ages, listening. She really attempted to ruin our special meal. Attitude determines altitude.
