We’re captivated by the natural beauty and bounty of Virginia. That’s why our menu is much more than a traditional steakhouse: terrific cuts, of course, complimented by locally caught seafood, sides fresh from the farmers market, and award-winning wine from across the globe. We’re not just for celebrating, and we’re not just a steakhouse: we’re the sophisticated dining experience that every steakhouse wants to be when it grows up. Valet parking is available, free for the first two hours with validation. Street parking is also available without a permit after 5pm daily and on the weekends.

We came here for Christmas meal. Website never communicated they were not serving regular menu. Brunch buffet only with minimal selection and kitchen closed for any other menu requests. Extremely disappointed there was no proactive promotion of a different menu for today. Special acknowledgement to Courtney who was gracious and kind.

We went to Birch and Bloom for Christmas brunch. We were expecting a lavish experience to match the ambience. Instead, it was a sub-par hotel continental breakfast buffet. There wasn’t anything spectacular, and very few items were handmade. The quiche Lorraine was good, but the biscuits were so hard you could not cut or bite through them, and were inedible. The service was slow, and never anticipated drink refills or our bill. I kept having to snag servers for basic things. Seems strange, considering it was a buffet; the hard work of taking orders and delivering them was taken care of. The valet parking was a joke. They parked our car just feet from the door. Seriously? I don’t need a valet for that; just charge me to park there. Stupid.

Our waiter had to leave in the middle of service and we were told another by another waiter that he was going to take over. After waiting about 30 minutes, I got up and grabbed a water pitcher to refill our glasses. A waitress saw this and came over to ask if we wanted to order drinks which we told her had already been ordered. She went to the bar and found our drinks. Then another long pause and she came back to take our food order which we had also already ordered. She went to check on that and after a long wait the food came. At this point we’re well over an hour into our reservation. 2 of the 3 dishes were great. The third, a pasta dish, was so undercooked it almost crunched. At this point we just asked for a to go box figuring it will be better reheated. I hope our experience is unique. We’ll give them another try down the road.

The service was poor, slow and untrained! The food was fine and the place was empty for a Saturday night.

Not as good as a few weeks back. Food is still solid, although it's odd that coffee is made by the bar. And they were clearly short-staffed. May pause on going back for a little while.

We were quite disappointed We both had eggs Benedict and the eggs were overcooked. There was very little hollandaise sauce And the presentation was drab. I had eaten breakfast there a year ago and was not disappointed. Also the coffee was not hot. It was the end of the breakfast shift and felt a bit rushed and tired.

The concept was odd. All plates are to share - NO appetizers. NO sides. NO bread. The entrees were pretty bare minimum. Chard broccoli was hard and burnt. The hanger steak was small with tons of french fries and nothing green. It was pretty cavernous with lots of echoes so noisy. We won't do that again.

My only issue is with Open Table. At no point in my reservation process was it mentioned that I was reserving a $100/person buffet. I thought I was reserving regular menu. Two teenage girls and myself couldn’t possibly eat $100 worth of food. Food great. Service great. Atmosphere great. But over $400 for four of us not ok when no heads up.
