   The food was exquisite, we had gnocchi that was cooked properly, linguini with tiger shrimp also cooked to perfection. Marsala soup, so flavorful and a grilled cheese fit for a Queen.

   Food was amazing, nice and romantic settings. The only thing they could find a way to make it better. The noise level, its difficult to hear the person beside you. The noise coming from the bar and kitchen. Attributed to most of that extra noise. Still worth checking out!

   Convenient location & good parking. The space was uninspiring although efforts to improve the ambience with good artwork & attractive lighting helped somewhat. The service was very good - friendly without being obsequious - & food arrived on-time. Very good cutlery & dishes. The menue was not huge but certainly comprehensive enough to satisfy most discerning palates. Food quality was good. We made relatively unusual menu choicesun & all were of good quality & quantity. Our experience good value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending this unusual restaurant & am sure I will visit again in the future.

   Food was delicious and well prepared. Small but cozy ambiance. Service was lacking. It took over 45 minutes to get drinks and servers rarely checked our table to see if we needed anything- most of the time talking in back of house. If service improved we would certainly revisit.

   Lunch at the window table for two inside the restaurant ~ Ambience is quaint, simple, very clean. Both ordered the luncheon features ~ mushroom soup and side salad were very delicious. Also enjoyed the Parma ham, smoked mozzarella sandwich on ciabatta ~ the grainy mustard added a wonderful flavour. I would have preferred a softer rustic bread, although the sandwich was still very delicious. Perfect lunch portions. Service was excellent! Will be back ~ possibly try the outside terrace next time.

   Everything was wonderful however there was only one choice of white wine by the glass and I didn’t want to pay for a whole bottle. Otherwise excellent

   Excellent food and service. A restaurant that knows it's better to do a few things very well instead of a sprawling menu of mediocre entrees. My personal favourite in downtown Cornwall.

    You can tell the chefs take time to create delicious homemade food, the service was excellent and on point. Birchwood is an amazing place for an intimate date night or a place to gather with friends. We can’t wait until our next dining experience with them.
