   Birraporetti's was an excellent choice for us! Its location was perfect for us to eat and then scoot across the street to the Houston Opera to see our show. The food was awesome, very tasty and healthy portions. The service was good - as the restaurant got crowded, we, of course, didn't see our waitress too much. Seemed like they might have been short-staffed, which we understood. Our waitress was friendly and kind and offered good options. All in all, we recommend Birraporetti's to anyone, especially to anyone attended a performance across the street. Kudos to the management and staff at Birraporetti's for offering such amazing food choices in a very nice atmosphere.

   Our Waiter was just not feeling working today. He was quick, short, and impatient the whole dinner. He forgot our appetizer and when he remembered after us telling him, she brings it while we have our dinner already. I didn't even want it at that time. We waited for a Togo box, he just made the night difficult.

   Everything was great but my wife's food was cold. Mine was hot. My guess is her chicken piccata came out before my veal piccata. Anyway, can't have that happen so they need to eliminate that from happening.

   Overall, the restaurant was pleasing, only thing I didn’t like was that during Valentines, the tables were really close to one another, which I feel on a normal day they would have been more spaced out, but all in all the food was excellent. The service was great.

   We had reservations on bust Valentine’s Day. Service was great and a lot of attention. Wine selections were good and Main meal perfectly cooked and flavorful!!

   Salad brought before appetizer, which was fine. But we had barely started on the salad when the appetizer was brought out, which was annoying. Service was otherwise very good. Food was OK. Price was fair for what we were getting.

   This restaurant use to be one of our favorites, but after recent experiences and the final one being last night, we will never return. We arrived at the restaurant by 5:15pm for a 5:30pm reservation for 4 people. The restaurant was empty. We waited for our other 2 guests to arrive and they were there by 5:30pm. We were seated and placed our order by 5:45pm. By this time the restaurant had begun to fill up with other patrons. All of the patrons arrived AFTER we did and their orders were placed after ours - (or so we thought). However, they all received their food before 6:15pm. By this time, the only thing we had been served was our salad and drinks. We waited for another 20 minutes before finally asking to speak with a manager (our waiter was too busy to notice that we had not received our main meal). By this time it was 6:45pm. When we explained that we had not received our main meal, his excuse was that food came out based on when the order was placed. We told him our order had been placed prior to others in the restaurant. However he indicated that the waiter had waited until our other guests arrived so that our food wouldn't get cold. We explained to the manager that our guest had arrived by 5:30pm and that he had been misinformed by the waiter. The manager was so incompetent that he couldn't grasp that the waiter had lied to him and had forgotten to turn in our order and that is why the food was not ready. The service was so bad that by the time we received our meal after 7pm, we had to walk out and leave it because we would have missed the Opera that was starting within 20 minutes. The manager didn't even apologize or offer to comp the beverages that we had received (that only cost $13). So we left the food untouched and only paid for the drinks since we had drank them in our long wait. There are so many other wonderful restaurants in the theatre district now, we will be sure to go to the other ones going forward.

   I really enjoyed the music in the restaurant today. The gentleman that was performing did a fabulous job. Also, the bus boy with the glasses is so attentive and kind, a very good hire for your restaurant.

    Please stop turning off the AC at 11:00! This is the third time I’ve experienced this when dining late after a show and the dining room quickly gets miserably hot and humid. If you’re not willing to air condition the dining room until closing time, you should stop taking reservations for the after show crowd.
