Located in Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C., Bistrot Du Coin serves up delicious French cuisine. Its very relaxed setting features picnic-style table cloths and a second floor to accommodate a packed house. Owners Yannis Felix and Michel Verdon opened Bistrot Du Coin's doors in 2000 for patrons to converse and have fun while enjoying their meals. It offers hearty starters such as French onion soup and fresh, crisp salads, steamed mussels and sautéed foie gras. Veal stew in a creamy sauce, braised chicken in white wine and pan-seared salmon topped with a fresh herb sauce are filling main courses to try.

Bistrot Du Coin hosts parties to celebrate popular French events throughout the year, and it serves brunch on the weekend with its own menu. This restaurant has an extensive wine list, but also offers cocktails and apéritif. It is open year-round and welcomes reservations.

Bistrot du Coin is a wonderful French bistro. The food and service are excellent, and the ambiance is just like the bistros we visited in France. The mussels were delicious, the cassoulet was very tasty and my husband really enjoyed the rabbit stew. Be sure to get a reservation!

Whereas we had great expectations, this was a moderatly satisfying experience. The food was good, no more than that, and the service the same. We were disappointed.

Mussels & house champagne were phenomenal. Very low key atmosphere.

Has been our go to restaurant for 10*years but is starting to get run down. Wine it is smaller, food is still good but not as carefully prepared. Really hope that they bounce back.

I was underwhelmed with this French restaurant. It was fairly expensive, and the food was good, but not great. It was very noisy. The bathroom was dirty, and there were broken tiles in one of the stalls. The paper toweling was "self serve" on a big roll. It's an ok place, but I wouldn't go back.

This was a disappointing experience for such a long-standing restaurant--out of daily specials, understaffed resulting in poor service, not so friendly overall...

We came 40 minutes early but they still seated us anyway and in a very good area. Thank you! My husband started with the mushroom soup and I did the French onion soup. Both were very good! For our mains, my husband had Beef bourguignon which he enjoyed very much - classic and authentic French dish! I had the rib-eye steak with French fries. It was a huge order for me - but finished it nevertheless 😄. We were ok with the house Beaujolais and Cabernet Sauvignon. We’ve had better. We finished with lemon custard and coffee and vanilla ice cream. Service staff were quick and efficient. The restaurant vibe is fun and relaxed - which we liked very much!
