   This is the third time that went for a birthday. Even though we would put on the reservation that it was for a birthday and would tell the front desk that it was a birthday and could the do something, they did not. This time , they did something for the table to the left and right of us but not out table - and it was a big birthday. Three strikes and they are out - will not be going back to the restaurant again!

   We have dined here a few times this was a little one off. It is always extremely busy, but they seem to not keep up, this time they brought our entrées out and didn’t bring our sides till after much later. didn’t mind the service is a little slow it gave us time to enjoy our meal, but for the price we would’ve expected a little notch up . The kitchen must’ve been very busy. all the food tasted like it was not cooked to perfection like we have experienced before.

   Quality of the steaks was very poor for what is touted as a premier steakhouse and is a serious departure from our prior visits to both locations. Service was very good. Sides that we had were good. Would like to return but now very hesitant.

   I have been to Blackstones several times - it’s my local college student’s favorite place when we come visit him. The service last evening was horrible - it was really disappointing and unacceptable. Waiter seemed to not know how to wait tables in a restaurant of that quality.

   We dined at Blackstones on Saturday, 2/15, to celebrate my beautiful wife’s 50th birthday, and it was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for our special evening. Our party of six enjoyed an outstanding dinner, including the Surf and Turf combination – a perfectly cooked Tomahawk steak and succulent (giant) lobster – along with three incredible filet mignons that melted in my family members' mouths. The appetizers were just as impressive, with crispy fried calamari, fresh oysters, flavorful tuna tartar, shrimp cocktail, and a refreshing tomato mozzarella salad. The side dishes, wine and drinks complemented the meal beautifully, making the experience truly indulgent. Beyond the phenomenal food, what stood out the most was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. I’ve been to this Blackstones (and a few of their sister locations in Norwalk, Stamford and Greenwich) a number of times with family, friends, and business acquaintances but usually go to this one because its location is closer to my home. Each visit has been consistently exceptional. Blackstones in Southport remains my go-to steakhouse for any special occasion, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. We will absolutely be returning! Heartfelt thanks to the Blackstones' staff and its owner Aldo, who are always gracious and hospitable, for making my wife’s milestone birthday truly memorable!

    The evening began with a wonderful waiter followed by a delicious dinner, but unfortunately all went down hill when we went to pay our bill. Form of payment was a credit card and a gift card in the amount of $150. The manager insisted the gift card was only worth $100. He made such a scene in the restaurant other patrons begin to stare and "shhhh" us. We felt humiliated even though we had the receipt for the gift card proving its worth. The manager ran $93.77 on our credit card, took our gift card and said a bookkeeper would call us on Monday to resolve. When we returned home the BlackStone Grille website in fact confirmed the $150 value of the gift card. No call was received the following Monday. We called ourselves - took two days to resolve and the restaurant finally comp the entire dinner and offered us another $100 gift card. Sadly the owner probably will never know the unprofessionalism we encountered. Our advise ... beware if you plan to use a gift card. Probably won't use the additional gift card as the humiliation has left a sting.
