We both had the vegetarian selection. Average - possibly that’s how vegetarian offerings are. Service was wonderful. Will go back but go for better choices.

From the before dinner drink in the bar to the great dining experience, the quality and service is one of the best places in Rehoboth. The tuna carpaccio was melt in your mouth, and the wedge salad was loaded with blue cheese and bacon, enough for two to split. The seafood pasta dish had all the elements cooked perfectly as if they were done individually and assembled. ( Not like most places where you get overcooked seafood and way overcooked pasta.) The special that night was a mound of lobster over a sirloin steak, topped with bearnaise sauce - very good. Great wines by the glass and a decent wine list Looking forward to the next trip to Rehoboth Beach.

The food was excellent, and I would definitely go back because of the food. However, the service was not the best honestly for that upscale of a restaurant. I had to ask for more water, grab the waiter as he ran by me to ask for another glass of wine. No one ever asked how my meal was or if I needed anything else. I was a bit put back by the lack of attentiveness and service for this quality of a restaurant. To be fair, it was a busy night there and perhaps they were short staffed, but I just wanted minor attention during my time there.

Everything was terrific. Service was great and the food was delicious. My only concern was pricing. A single waffle was $20. It seems excessive.

It seems that the Blue Moon is past it's prime. For us this was always a place for a special occasion. A place you knew would cost a lot, but it was worth it for the impeccable service, the unique menu offerings, and the perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented food. While the service did still live up to expectations, the food is another story. We got the crispy octopus and the cajun eggrolls for the appetizers. The octopus was good, no complaints there. The eggrolls seemed to be from a frozen bag, The wrapper was too thick making each bite squeeze out the filling which was so hot it was like lava, even after 10 minutes. The filling was boring, flavorless, and the tiny bits of minced crawfish got lost. For the mains we got the rack of lamb, ordered medium rare. and the Rib Eye steak ordered rare. No complaints on the lamb, it was cooked perfectly, and paired well with its ratatoulie side dish. The steak was just simply bad. I don't like to toss around price in my food reviews, but it's menu price was $52. When it came out, I almost had to wonder what it was on my plate. It was too perfectly shaped, almost like it was molded. The first cut into it, I could tell immediately that is was overcooked, so I cut into the middle and it was totally gray, well done, and dry as a bone. I never do this but I had to send it back. I couldn't see spending $52 on a steak that a good restaurant should know how to cook properly. When the replacement came out, it looked exactly like the last one. The weird molded shape, like the way McDonald's does with McRib, except this was supposed to look like a steak. It was cooked more to the right temperature, but the flavor was not there, and it was covered in too much seasoning. This was like something from a diner, not a fine dining place, It reminded me of the Murry's steaks my parents got when we were kids, all uniformly shaped and you never really knew what the meat was. Sysco special? I don't know, but avoid it.
