   When making reservations, we included food allergies, yet neither hostess nor server mentioned it, and my husband's food had dairy in it, which he cannot eat. My appetizer was pickled beets with too much vinegar. We had a bottle of still water, and after it was done, they did not ask if we wanted another, and then a server poured tap water into our glasses that still had some of the bottled water in them! I did not finish my meal and asked to have it wrapped, so after they cleared our plates and cutlery, the server brought a food container for me to do it myself, and I had no cutlery to move it into the box.

   Excellent food. Steak perfectly done to request. Desserts incredible. Server rarely seen unfortunately. Had the same empty glass of water for the entire 90 minutes there.

   Service poor. Waiter forgot about our table after taking order. Had to ask for desert and coffee after waiting 20 minutes. Then had to ask for a spoon for desert. Another ten minutes. Crab cakes were greasy. Halibut was okay not great. 20% Service Charge automatically added to bill. NO opportunity to independently reward waiter for good or poor service.

   Food was exceptional, as was the service -- and with it being Christmas Day, we were lucky to find such a restaurant open. For many reasons, it was a very special occasion, and Blue MOrl was the perfect place for it. We'll be back!

   The food was not great ,over price .Made reservation for brunch was more lunch than brunch The service was good. Wouldn’t go back

   Hadn't been to Blue Morel in a while. Their menu used to be more inventive and extensive. There are now a half dozen entrees and 3-4 prime steaks. My wife and I weren't wowed by the entree offerings (no specials either) and ordered a hanger steak and NY strip respectively with brussell sprouts and 'butterball' potatoes as accompaniments. We also order fois gras to share from the appetizers. The waitperson returned after a while to let us know that they didn't have the fois gras (might add that the restaurant was nearly empty). We hastily ordered a caesar salad to share. The salad was fine and plentiful for the two of us. The wines on offer by the glass were also good though rather expensive. The steaks arrived and were a disappointment. Though advertised as prime, a large part of each had significant gristle. They were large and there was enough to salvage and enjoy but it was hard work at times. The sides were very good and generous. We didn't order dessert since we had a special dessert waiting at home. Service was fine and attentive.

   The restaurant has gone down quite a bit since our last visit. Very expensive for VERY small portions and questionable quality food. I had the salmon which was awful. The cocktails were ok but expensive. In a nutshell, will skip this restaurant for now.

   A wonderful surprise with great ambience and a terrific menu. Good selection of fish and meats and each course was tasty, fresh and delicious. The lighting and decor were pleasant with a touch of French ambience. The service staff were pleasant and efficient but at times they were a bit unattentive to our table and we waited a bit long between servings and yet it wasn't crowded. It's a bit pricey but everything seems to be these days. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blue Morel for a very good meal and ambience.

    It was too dark. I couldn’t read thru menu. That’s my only issue. The rest was great!!
