   Unfortunately we dined here on NYE and it was a let down. I know holidays are tough but the value is not there for the price. The service was good enough, the food was cold and not impressive at any level. The drinks were inconsistent, I had three espresso martinis and they came out a different color every time. They have a cracked mirror in their dining room, that’s trashy and unprofessional, not to mention bad luck!? It’s NYE for God’s sake! I just really hope Jacksonville can raise the bar in 2025 for dining because it’s a huge ripoff right now. I can spend the same amount of money in Miami and have an incredible ambiance, food and entertainment. I got none of the three last night at Blue San Marco. Do better. Oh and last but not least, every table in the restaurant had a white table cloth but ours? What the world! We booked a dinner at a fine dining white table cloth restaurant so that’s what we expect to receive.

   Great addition to the San Marco food scene. Second time dining here and both exceptional experiences. Excellent service and great food. Good portions.

   Blue was good but still working out the kinks of a new restaurant. Severs duplicated their efforts (2 brought water, 2 offered fresh ground pepper, etc.). My biggest disappointment came when I wanted to order decafe coffee with a dessert. I was told the restaurant did not serve coffee, only expresso. I skipped dessert and left.

   Four of us decided to try this new restaurant. The good, bad and ugly.. The good - Staff was very friendly. Even tough the menu is small, the scallops, fish of the day and pizza were very good. The braised lamb shank was bland (but we are used to more Middle Eastern spicing on lamb). Some of the appetizers looked good, but didn't try them. The craft cocktails were top notch! Recipes (and prices) right from top bars in the US. The bad - expected a make over from the last restaurant tenant. Nope. just re arranged the furniture, and added lots of BLUE lights. The Christmas decor was right out of the dollar store, so made the place look cheap. The ambiance should live up to the quality of the food. The ugly - Be aware! If you use a credit card they will put a 3% surcharge on the bill without telling you!!! Who carries a few hundred in cash? (Yes a few drinks, 2 entrees, coffee and a dessert was $200). We complained and said we would deduct it from the tip, which is not fair to the waitress - who was good. The restaurant did make good, adjusting the bill. Would not go back unless they change their policy. Too many other good places in that part of town.

   It's AIX all over again. Burata and pizza were great. Duck, escargot and mussels were average at best. Bar was slow and drinks were terrible. Not sure if I would go back.

    The service was good. The food lacked flavor. It was presented beautifully but all 4 of the fish dishes we ordered were so overcooked.
