Bluestone American BBQ features a Latin American spin on authentic low and slow traditions from the US BBQ belt. Chef Alvaro Malel draws inspiration from his Uruguayan heritage, and his passion for cuisines from both American continents to reimagine smoked classics like Yearling Beef Short Rib with chimichurri, and Pit-Braised Pulled Lamb with salsa criolla and arepas.

His talent for bringing together the best of North and South American food traditions has been a drawcard for diners across Melbourne since the restaurant opened seven years ago. He credits the success of Bluestone to his Uruguayan culture and heritage, which is all about “food, family and fire…BBQ is a feature of all my best memories. We were very happy with our set Feast 2. We also enjoyed the Lemon Pie, the new coulis was 'berry ' delicious.

We had the bottomless food & drink deal. The food and service were both excellent and the staff friendly and pleasant. We were regularly offered more food or drinks. I would definitely recommend this deal.

Absolutely the best food i have ever had, my boyfriend and i were in and out within 30 minutes, the food pretty much came out in about 7 - 10 minutes after we ordered and it was still amazing, will definitely go back to bluestone for sure 😁

Attended Sat the 12/10 @ 12pm - (only including the time and date of booking as I wish I remembered the staff names as;) both the wait staff service who were on shift was top notch, very friendly and approachable. The food was great, the only complaint really was the macaroni and cheese was good but not as great as last time. The rest of the food was AMAZING - this is our second time there and will definitely be going again. 9.9/10!
