   Blvd Restaurant offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on ambiance, exceptional service, and a menu that blends creativity with classic flavors. It’s a great spot for special occasions, but my recent visit left me with mixed feelings due to a mismatch between expectations and experience. The primary allure of Blvd is the elegant main dining room, with its stunning chandelier views that create a refined atmosphere. When booking our reservation, I explicitly noted that we were celebrating a birthday and hoped to be seated in the main room to enhance the occasion. Unfortunately, we were seated on the patio instead, which felt like a significant departure from the celebratory tone we had anticipated. While the patio area is pleasant, it lacked the intimate and festive ambiance we had hoped for, making the birthday dinner feel less special than it should have. That being said, the service at Blvd was impeccable. Our server was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, ensuring that our meal went smoothly despite the initial disappointment. The food was also up to the restaurant’s high standards—flavorful, beautifully presented, and expertly prepared. In conclusion, Blvd is undeniably a great choice for a memorable dinner, but if you’re celebrating something important, it’s crucial to ensure your reservation preferences are clearly communicated and followed. A more thoughtful seating arrangement would have significantly elevated the experience. Despite the seating misstep, the stellar service and excellent food still make it worth visiting—just make sure to emphasize your seating preferences when booking to avoid any surprises.

   The ambiance was perfect. We went for a birthday and it was made personal to that event. Spot on. The food was mediocre at best. The steak was good, a little undercooked. The mashed potatoes are whipped almost the consistency of sour cream or pudding. The Mac and cheese was really saucy, nothing too special about it. Also very upsetting that they did not have the option to add anything to it. The drinks were very strong, the tequila was really all that I tasted in the lavender lemon drop. The bread was spongy. Overall I would not give it another chance. Hopefully someone else has a better experience

   With so many steak houses in Chicago, they weren’t on their game. Messed up orders and a lot of raw steak. For the money, I would give it a pass and go to Bavettes. The servers tip was included which was good for him bc he was MIA.

   Outstanding steak, great sides, decadent dessert. Beautiful atmosphere, comfortable seating. Service was friendly and attentive.

   My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and I was very disappointed. When the reservation was made, we asked for a nice table and they sat us at a very small table. I asked for a bigger table, and they said they didn't have another table. The place was not full. The table was so small we only ordered 1 steak and 2 sides. No bottle of wine cause it wouldn't fit on the table with our food. We ordered a tomahawk steak and looked sad. It was a very thin cut. It tasted good and was cooked to order. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were also good. I appreciate that the dessert was free as an anniversary gift. I wish I could give a better review, but when you pay for a high-priced dinner then you should act like a higher end restaurant and provide a better table. I was very upset 😡 I do not recommend and will not return.

   10/10 experience. Cute place to have date night! The brussel sprouts were so good and the mashed potatoes were creamy. The steak was 10/10 as well. Highly recommend!

   The service and food was fantastic. However, the crowed was not what I would have expected. Perhaps a dress code would help. The restaurant did not match the crowed it attracts.

   I came with the group of my employees to take them out to a nice steak dinner. We got all dressed up, thinking we were going to sit in the area that all the photos show online instead, they took us out to an area on the side that look like you’re eating outdoors with heaters on top of the ceilings and the bill was $700 and I felt like I ate at an IHOP with the ambience. Make sure there actually putting in the nice steakhouse area and not the “IHOP experience” at the end of the day all the other steakhouses are better in Chicago then this one. Go to RPM, Gibsons or Prime & Provisions it’s the same price but a guaranteed amazing experience!!

    Their no flash policy is ridiculous. It was my birthday dinner and i had to resort to taking pictures in the bathroom. Very disappointed! It’s so dark in there, it wasn’t just my party upset about this either. We payed a lot money for our food and should be able to take pictures with our phones.
