Let me start by saying our experience at Boat Bar wonderful. My wife and I were greeted and congratulated multiple times for celebrating our anniversary, and a card was left at our table that we took home as a keepsake. That little touch meant a lot. The food was outstanding! We tried a variety of items. We started with a dozen oysters and worked our way through grilled sardines, smoked scallops, steak tartare, french onion soup, gem lettuces, and manilla clams. For drinks my wife enjoyed some champaign and white wine, while I tried the one of the specialty paloma cocktails, a beef fat old fashioned, and a Seapine pilsner. The service was excellent, everyone was so kind, helpful and happy to make small talk as they told us about the menu. The restaurant is also an amazing space. It's cozy and classic just like the french bistros we visited in France earlier this year, but with all the added charm of the PNW. As this was a surprise experience for my wife on our anniversary I'm happy to report she described it as one of the Top 5 meals she'd ever had. We'll certainly be back in the future!

Food took a very long time. The quality of food was not worth the cost.

Food was really poorly seasoned. Most items way too salty. The oysters were great. Service was fair at best. Wait staff somewhat unpleasant. Hostess was good though.

Very interesting menu, most of it tasted excellent but was a bit pricy. Portions are all the smaller side, great for tapas style eating with a small group. Was a bit on the noisy side.

We got the boat bar platter. While everything was tasty, it was crazy expensive. The oysters were fabulous! The clam dip, crab salad and smoked salad were good, but could have been more flavorful and we needed more ritz crackers to finish the dips. The service was great, and the cocktails were wonderful. So if you aren’t super hungry, and want to treat yourself it’s a great place, but not if you are on a budget. I didn’t like that the menu doesn’t indicate what a single oyster price is—you’d have to ask or go with the oyster flight which includes drinks? I’m still craving oysters so I’m going to shuck my own tonight ;-)

The desserts here are TO DIE FOR. I’d go back just for them. The service was warm and impeccable.

Had two different dishes and I didn't like either one of them. The spices were too overpowering. Service was very good. My low rating was only because of the food
