   We went for the steaks and weren’t disappointed… top notch porterhouse and ribeyes. Quiet, elegant setting & attentive service.

   One of the best French onion soup, maryland crab cake was huge and delicious, bang bang shrimp was good. Dinner was sesame encrusted tuna which was good. Gnocchi was excellent, daughters shared chicken parm and they like it. Service was pretty quick and very pleasant. Definitely would eat there again.

   Decided to book a table here post theater. There are many wait staff although not one pays attention to assigned tables. They just take orders and bring food no communication. The bus boy couldn’t help bring pepper to the table after flagging him down because waiter never returned to table once he needed to get hostess to bring pepper not sure why that was. They never came to our table to check if food was ok or if we needed anything. The place was not busy it was 3:00 on a Saturday. It’s a shame because the food was decent but for the cost and lack of attentive service will not return. Training needed for waitstaff to pay attention. Even hostess was annoyed to have to bring something although there were two them completely unnecessary. Not impressed.

   I am a big fan of Bobby Vans. I must say though, this was not one of my better experiences. My Filet was overcooked and the sweet calamari, which we love was very wet and soggy this time. Our server also lacked any personality on this trip. I will come back again but hope this was just an off day.
