Rosario the owner & his entire staff did a great job. I was a volunteer at Festa Italiana supported by my club San Francisco Italian Athletic Club and I ended up getting to the restaurant an hour late. Rosario invited me in & found a two seat table for my friend & I to eat at. Service as usual was outstanding & my favorite dish homemade Gnocchi in their bolognese sauce reminds me of my moms homemade italian sauce.

Most of the food and wine were excellent value. This is a traditional, moderate priced restaurant. Service was excellent. I wish there were some tapestries or similar to reduce the very energetic noise level.

The BEST Italian restaurant in SF! Service is incredible, pasta melts in your mouth, pizza tastes very fresh, wine selection is great, and desserts (especially tiramisu) are delicious. All at reasonable prices in the city! This is our go-to spot

The food was delicious - I had the Spaghetti al Fogone, and the white wine sauce was perfect with the clams and house-made spaghetti noodles. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. Our server was busy but SO attentive (kept our wine glasses full) and had helpful/accurate feedback about our menu questions. The chef came out to chat with us as we were outside taking pictures and told us how the apartment above the restaurant was the one in Mrs. Doubtfire. Made the perfect ending to our very lovely dinner. 10/10 would recommend (except for the noise, but that can't be helped in a small space with people enjoying other conversations).
