   The hostess that seated us was super kind and we had a lovely banter with her throughout the night as she would help bus dishes or fill water glasses at our table. The young gentlemen who was our main server however could have definitely been more friendly. We are “please” and “thank you” type people and are always mindful of how we treat wait staff. He was ok at first, but as our meal went on his attitude got worse, to the point we began to feel like we were bothering him. Come time for dessert and the check I felt uncomfortable to ask him for anything. Definitely not the way you want to feel when spending $220 plus tip on dinner. The food was AMAZING and the restaurant itself definitely has a neat atmosphere. I am glad we made a reservation as they were constantly busy throughout the night. I am also glad we got there early as some of the customers that began to arrive closer to our departure time were a bit intoxicated and loud. So much so that one of them was even beating on the restroom door and shouting to get another member of their party out. This was quite disturbing to us as we were seated right next to the restrooms and feel that a member of the staff should have addressed this for the sake of other customers. Perhaps our experience just got lost in how busy the night was. We also had the pleasure of speaking to the owners father who was an absolutely lovely man! He alone could get me to give the restaurant another chance with his cheery disposition. Overall we loved our meal and most of those we interacted with. We had planned to come later in the week for lunch and to bring a fourth friend of ours to try the wonderful food, but are reconsidering due to the main server. You don’t want to spend that kind of money for that type of treatment.

   We enjoyed several different cocktails. They were great looking, creative, and had great flavor profiles. Not be missed! The small shareables were fantastic and we had a hard time saving room for the rest of the menu. The oysters really stand out as being both unique and excellent. The Pho was traditional, flavorful, and fragrant. The servers were all very personable, and active in recommendations. The staff made sure we had a great time and made the entire experience very enjoyable!

   One of my favorite sf eateries. Food is great, service excellent, so convenient to BART. This is my go-to place for meeting out of town friends. Loved the attention we got tonight around ordering a bottle of sake, the conversations we had with the staff, the samples offered to help us make our selection. And then there was the uni we had as an appetizer. OMG. This place never fails to satisfy.

   I find I keep coming back to Bodega because of the ambience and reliability of hours and seating availability. The food is also very good, but there are limited vegetarian options especially for dinner, which isn't great in a city like San Francisco. On my most recent visit I found the service to be poor. After taking our order, our server completely disappear. He never returned to ask us if we wanted more drinks, clear our appetizer plates, or if check in to see if we received everything we ordered. I had ordered a side of rice, to go with our main dish. This never appeared. I finally saw our server nearby and flagged him down. When I inquired about the rice he looked confused. After about 5 mins the owner came out with the rice. When our server did appear to clear our plates at the end of the meal, I asked him box up the left overs. He never returned with our leftover boxes, never asked if we wanted dessert, only returned with the check and receipt.

   My girlfriend arrived 10 minutes early and wanted to order a drink at the bar. She was told by the hostess that the bar area was for walk-in customers with no reservation and that she had to wait to be seated since our table wasn't ready yet. She wasn't even offered the option to stand by the bar vs sitting in a seat. The rest of us arrived shortly after and waited a few minutes while they set our table. The drinks were very tasty once we ordered them. Menu selection not overwhelming and everything was tasty and flavorful, especially the de-boned branzino.

   Bodega offers a beautiful modern take on Vietnamese cuisine in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We had a great time—our server was incredibly kind and guided us through the menu with care. The shaking beef was a standout, perfectly tender and melting in the mouth. We’re already looking forward to coming back to try the dinner menu!

   Pleasant vibrant atmosphere. Service was terrific. Happy attentive wait staff. The food was delish. Everything we ordered was good. The stand outs were the Bun Cha with Pork Belly and Meatballs and the Cellophane Noodles with Crab in clay pot. The fancy drink menu looked good but we went with some Chinese (I believe) beer that was tasty.

    After our first drink and ordering the meal, it was hard to order anything else, we sat with dry glasses for long periods, asking bus boys to find our waiter etc, who would occasionally go by without making eye contact. Wasn't busy, it was Monday evening
