Boiler House at Pearl is a true Texas original. Situated in the historic Pearl Brewery complex on the San Antonio River Walk, this wine-centric restaurant occupies the former “boiler house” which powered the adjacent brewery. Lead by Executive Chef Alberto "Beto" Gutierrez, the menu focuses on grilled items from local farms and markets, with a focus on “Texas ranch-style” cuisine. These delicacies are paired with extraordinary wines from around the world (available by the glass, bottle and “to-go”), full bar, live music and a casual yet energetic atmosphere. The unique list of wines boasts some of the lowest prices in the area.

The restaurant incorporates various private dining areas suitable for private or corporate functions and an expansive outdoor patio area where guests can enjoy dining alfresco. We can host groups anywhere from 9 up to 290 guests in our unique, flexible private event spaces.

The food was beyond phenomenal!! I had the Marinated Olives as an appetizer, prime beef tenderloin steak with Street Corn Polenta Cake as my side. That is by far the best side dish that I have ever had at a steakhouse. My wife had the Wild Boar Lasagna with burrata cheese, wild boar bolognese and arugula side salad. For dessert we had some of the best Bread Pudding that we've ever eaten. The Chef here is some kind of mad scientist, but God I love where his brain is. On top of the excellent food, we had one of the best waiters (Darren H.) that we've had in many years. We travel and eat out quite extensively and I don't make such raving reviews very often. But this place earned this review. We will be back. I highly recommend.

First time we had been here in many years, and so glad we went! The menu has changed and is so much better! Wider variety of choices and excellent cocktails. Our server, Victoria, was informative and attentive, friendly and professional. We chose outdoor seating and enjoyed the setting and ambiance. We will definitely return!

We went to the Boiler House for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The tomahawk medium rare with the sauces were delicious. The brussels sprouts on point. Our amazing waitress Cynthia recommended a fabulous bottle of wine from Caymus that we enjoyed tremendously. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was outstanding. The great food coupled with awesome service has us wanting to go back sooner rather than later. We’re thinking we may hit their bloody Mary bar for brunch next weekend. It sounds super fun and delicious. My husband and I highly recommend the Boiler House.

Pleasant, if not perfect, service. Our sides came out sporadically before we received our mains. We visited on Wednesday, and Boiler House offers a selection of wines at a discount. We went with a bottle of Fincas del Sur Malbec, discounted $8. Not a good representation of Malbec, and not worth the bottle price, even at discount. I had a Ribeye Steak, and it was cooked very well. They make yummy french fries fried in beef tallow. Overall good, average dining experience, but not very memorable.

Food was good but waiter was inattentive and had to flag down other staff for assistance. Manager offered a free appetizer on our next visit but not sure I would go back.

Our severs were real pros and only appeared when they were needed! The music was not my favorites and it was way too loud. The beet plate was the best thing we had and it might make a beet-hater into a beet-lover. The Pimento cheese was great, also. The boar lasagna and chicken fried antelope sliders were creative and very nice. Plating was pretty good. Overall very enjoyable evening.
