Bombay Bustle is inspired by the tiffin tin carriers, the institution of men who use Mumbai’s famed local railway to deliver home cooked meals across the city. The Maddox Street restaurant pays homage to the culture and people, whose expanse of origins from across India have influenced its culinary history.

The menu sees recreations of some of the city’s most loved dishes alongside family recipes. Seasonal delights, inspired by Mumbai and the surrounding areas, include Bambaiya Ragda topped with dry peas and honey yogurt , Pickling spice Lamb chop , Rarah Kheema Pao and a Jalebi Cheesecake with Bombay Cutting Chai .

    We had an amazing experience with a fantastic bartender who crafted our cocktails perfectly to suit our discerning taste buds while we waited for our guests to join us. Our table was located downstairs, which offered a completely different ambiance compared to the ground floor, featuring decor that was more fitting for a dinner setting (the ground floor has more of a casual café vibe). We also asked the waiter for dish recommendations based on our preferences, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We indulged in a feast and left feeling pleasantly stuffed! We will definitely be back.

    Bombay Bustle is now our 'go to' place for Biryani. We have been coming here since before COVID and when the pandemic started they delivered to us. The food is always very good and on this occasion we had the brunch at £50 per head which was enormous - 6 starters between the 2 of us and 1 Biryani each, then the Tiramisu for dessert. We obviously couldn't finish our food and next time will be more circumspect in ordering! However, this is clearly not a criticism, but a compliment to the restaurant for being so generous with its portions. Our favourite dishes are still the Biryanis (obviously!) the lamb and the vegetarian ones are simply delicious.

    Food was quite good! Being from hospitality and dined at multiple restaurants from street to Michelin. There was no warmth in the service, no thankyou’s and welcome.

    A little gem. The early evening Express Menu represents excellent value without any compromise. Went for a birthday meal and it was excellent - food delicious, good wine list, great service - the whole team were just fabulous. Thank you for looking after us so well. Will be back.
