We sampled escargot, salad, and oysters as appetizers. Escargot had a sweet taste which was not what we expected at all. Salad was fine but nothing special. Oysters were tasty. As a main course we had onglet with French fries. Onglet was not very high quality but the peppercorn sauce was very good. The French fries stale and cold. Disappointing at the price point. The Madeline’s were the highlight of the meal all else was mediocre. Given the price point of $400 for 3 we would expect a bit more in terms of quality. The room itself is great though. Service on arrival good. But we sat with our dirty plates for a while until someone finally removed them. Laid back attitude which we normally enjoy but not if your left over French fries are still in front of you through dessert servings despite having asked them to remove everything. Finally they removed 2 out of the three and we gave up!

I celebrated a birthday with a good friend, and Bon Delire is a lovely, charming spot, good for celebrations or a nice lunch or dinner out; casual and cozy with great decor. The food was spot-on French and executed perfectly; our server was charming and all staff members welcoming. A fun touch is the turntable and records.

Came in early June for brunch Pros: cool ambiance, love to have a new spot on embarcadero, pretty good food, and friendly waiter Cons: the hostess was quite possibly one of the coldest hostesses i've encountered in SF (referring to the tan-skinned woman with piercings) - super icy check-in and sharply telling us they don't have high chairs (i had requested a high chair when i booked, and also mentioned this was for an early father's day brunch, thanks for the warm welcome) and just poor customer service sense despite multiple encounters - curious why a restaurant would choose to have this person be at the front. It really soured our experience. Service was also really slow (although our waiter was quite nice) We won't be comign back.

We had a great time celebrating a friebds birthday. Food was on point and our server was excellent. I’m glad this little gem exists in SF.

Exceeded my expectations! I was hopeful but also prepared for Bon Delire to be a lot of ambience with acceptable food and service. Instead, it was a lot of ambience (love the layout with a huge and beautiful bar at center and of course the waterfront location), delicious food and top notch casual but refined service! The Ceasar salad warrants its own discussion with the way the dressing and breadcrumbs merged so simply; a couple of the special appetizers were outstanding; and it’s hard to say who in our party won out most between the steak frites (the fries, the sauce!), hamburger and roast chicken. This is French bistro done so so right - definitely will return!

Invited a long time San Francisco colleague to Bon Delire. She had never been. We both had the Steak Frites, which was bathed in butter and backed by perfect frites. Paired nicely with a glass of Petite Sarah. Can wait to return, love the intimate "hole in the wall" feeling.

The service was really good! The food was delicious. The only negative was the size of the table. Very small, constantly moving things around to fit new dishes.

Our server was wonderful, food was good but not great. Wine pours were skimpy and prices were a bit high for what you get. Two duck wings (appetizer) for $18?!? Loud because of all the hard surfaces and music, it felt very young which was fun.
