   I’ve been a regular at Boom and Batten for years, but recently, I’ve noticed a shift. While the service remains excellent, the food has fallen short. It’s been cold, lacking flavor, and not up to the standard I’ve come to expect. The location is stunning, so I’ll definitely return, but I’m hopeful to see improvements in the future!

   Ordered salmon. It wasn’t what I was expecting. For $40 just small piece of salmon on top of black beans and corn with a ragu. It was disappointing and I was still hungry after. Everyone’s dishes were small but tasted good overall.

   What a horrible place to eat. The chicken burger was tasteless, with water from the lettuce. And the fríes? I had 3 fríes! The beer was warm. I paid $100 for a horrible meal.

   We had an amazing meal and the atmosphere is fabulous. Our service was lacking - took 10 minutes to come to our table, food was dropped off without asking if we needed anything (which we did - we had mussels but not given a bowl for the shells or a fork to get the mussel out) and it took forever for our bill to come. I know it’s a busy season but there seemed to be lots of staff on but no one was making eye contact so couldn’t get any help. Room for improvement for sure.

   Lovely spot for a date. Amazing service and ambience. Braised duck leg pappardelle (noodles made in house) was quite tasty!

    A wonderful spot for a meal. Great food, ambience, service and value in a first rate waterfront setting. Unfortunately the day we were there a very large yacht obstructed much of h the normally stellar view of the harbour.
