   We had thanksgiving dinner. Restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, but the food was mediocre and overpriced.

   My friends and I came for our Thanksgiving dinner. I will take responsibilty that it was probably a mistake to expect a French style restaurant to seriously consider serving a very traditional American meal for the holiday. That being said, the restuarant was beautifully decorated for the holidays with a lovely atmosphere. Two of us ordered the turkey dinner and our third went for the beef bourguingnon. Our meals arrived within 5 minutes of placing the order, so it was possible they were preplated and under a heat lamp for some time. The stuffing for the turkey dinner was quite dry and served in a way similar to a muffin. The turkey was served lying in a sweetpotato puree, so that those flavors were always mixed together, which was disappointing. The turkey had flavor and was tender. There were cranberry sauce and gravy served as an aside to be spooned or poured on as desired. Our friend who had the beef thought it was good. All three of us ordered the dessert which was designed to take the place of pumpkin pie. It was a truly flavorless, undercooked, strained mass of pumpkin, with a bit of puff pastry on top along with a tart tatin carmelization layer. This dessert was so flavorless that 2 of us set aside the pastry layer, opened packets of table sugar and sprinkled it on the pumpkin to give it some of the pleasure one expects from a dessert. We then put the pastry and tatin back on top to make it edible. To say the least, it was disappointing. Our final experience was our coffee order. Two requested regular American style decaf coffee, the third regular non decaf, American style coffee. There waiter seemed confused. We repeated our order. When the coffees were served we ask if the two were decaf and the third regular coffee. The waiter looked at us with a blank look and eventually said they were all half regular coffee and half decaf coffee. Then he said something about adding water to them. I finally declined having any coffee at all.

   Excellent ambiance and delicious food. Our server Marina Stati was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to adjust the dishes to our dietary restrictions. She was also very attentive and made sure we had everything we need. Highly recommend this restaurant and this location.
