Everyone at our table loved the food! And our server was excellent. Have over 20% tip. I have two issues - one, my mimosa was almost as much as my meal! While I reflect on it, I do understand that I probably got two mimosas given the sparkling wine split and the so cute baby carafe of juice. So maybe that’s ok. What wasn’t okay was the table of middle aged women wearing leggings and pajama pants. I really do think you should have a dress code and get your staff comfortable with turning away people who are not dressed appropriately. This really detracted from the ambience of such a beautiful restaurant with high quality food.

Asked for standard seating but was given high top. The table top was good if having cocktails only, not full dinner. The restaurant was never full the entire time we were there and don’t understand why we could not have a regular table. The bar seating would have been better. Food selection was limited but good.

We loved our quaint table for five and enjoyed both the cheese board and whipped feta. The chicken and leek puff pastry and short ribs were really delicious, and the peach Bellini hit the spot.

Three over-70 folks were extremely happy with this first visit to Brasserie 23. My appetizer was a tasty lentil salad, followed by a spicy and succulent Basque seafood chowder. I know I’ll be back and have that chowder again. Pricing was excellent. Overall, I feel we received an exceptional value.

Nice ambiance, staff helpful and timely. Not rushed during dinner. Pleasant experience, excellent drinks and food was good. Fat could have been rendered better on the duck and skim crisper.
