Brasserie la Banque is a neighborhood French restaurant nestled in historic downtown Charleston, SC. Paying homage to traditional French cuisine in a lively and welcoming environment, Brasserie la Banque celebrates life's memorable moments from impromptu drinks to convivial gatherings and leisurely meals. Led by owner and industry veteran Steve Palmer of Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the restaurant is a culmination of Palmer's work and his passion for the classic French brasserie and its cuisine. The menu features a selection of traditional French dishes alongside more innovative fare. Aptly named for its previous role as a city bank, Brasserie la Banque is located within the iconic 1 Broad Street corner building that dates back to the 1700s.

Me and my girlfriend had both of our birthdays at the restaurant, our server Alice was so nice and generous. Our food was taking a bit of some time so we got 2 free oyster which were delicious and enjoyable. My girlfriend has never had oysters and this changed her perspective on them. I had the beef short rib and she got the steak and frites. Absolutely delicious. Steak tartare and lobster soup. Mind blowing. We been here twice now and they always treat us like family.

Great anniversary dinner with my wife. From when we walked in until we left, everything was phenomenal. The staff went the extra mile to ensure we had a great dining experience. It was the small touches that really made our evening so special.

Ordered from menu for restaurant week. Was excellent. Reasonable choices. Also went off restaurant menu to order bread, which was fantastic, as well as the beet salad, which was very fresh and very flavorful. Enjoyable experience. Would recommend without hesitation!

We went for restaurant week and the Lobster bisque was very good with chunks of lobster The salmon and steak au poivre were good, but not outstanding. Profiteroles were excellent. Probably won’t return due to the seating. We had a high top right by the entrance to the kitchen. I will say that our service was excellent.

Phone did not eat first, or really at all so apologies for no photos, but Brasserie La Banque hit the trifecta (atmosphere, service, food) when we dined with them for a birthday celebration. We were seated at the Chef's Counter and were greeted with two Happy Birthday signs and birthday hats. Morgan, our server, delivered impeccable service the entirety of our stay and really went out of her way to help us feel welcome. Both of us chose the Charleston Restaurant Week menu and wow - full bowl of the most delicious Lobster Bisque with huge chunks of lobster in it; Mustard Crusted Salmon and Steak Au Poivre AND two desserts from the full dessert menu. I'm only sad because I could not finish it all. This is all a very long-winded version to say - run, do not walk to Brasserie La Banque for a homerun experience.

Fantastic deal for Charleston restaurant week. All the food was fantastic and our waitress had the best personality!! It's the tables are a little close together so you can pretty much hear your neighbors conversation, but overall a very nice and cozy atmosphere, with phenomenal food.

The ambiance, food and service were terrific. The deserts were fabulous, especially the Pear Frangipane.

Wonderful steak and potatoes with super crispy potatoes as a special treat. The crab appetizer was outstanding. Save room for the pastry during the breakfast/lunch service. The super croissant lives up to its name with an espresso cream filling and chocolate coating.
