   Went there for Valentine’s Day dinner. Very crowded as expected. Food was very good but the service was spotty. Had to request an item three times. But overall it was worth it

   Even on Valentine’s Day it should not take 1hr 50min to eat here. Took our order 50 minutes after being seated. Forgot bread. No drink refill offer. Very good food.

   Brentwood is our place to dine. We started with Steve and Rocky and never left. I have no complaints at all. The price of the food is competitive with other restaurants. The wait staff is excellent. I wish the restaurant would bring back the live piano player. The piano music added a touch of elegance to your dinner experience.

   We've been dining at Brentwood Grille for decades (going back to when it was Steve & Rocky's), and while it has always been excellent, last night they outdid themselves! The Valentine's Dinner for Two (two 6 oz filets, two scallops, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, and outstanding lobster ravioli with creamy sage sauce as an appetizer and a layered puff pastry with cream and raspberry puree filling for dessert) were shockingly good and cooked to perfection. If it is ever on the menu again, I'm definitely in!!!

   I was very surprised as I have eaten at Brentwood previously. The Valentine’s Day menu offered up a prime rib. It was below average and I’ve gotten much better cuts of meat from much less quality restaurants. There was a $55 price tag attached to it so so I expected some exceptional tender cut of meat. It was chewy, not tender, hard to cut. And overall below average.

   The food was meh. I had high hopes for the short rib, but it was dry and tough. I suspect they use chuck roast and call it boneless short ribs. The rest of the table had mixed reviews. The server was great and the place was quiet when we got there but became more vibrant as the meal went on.

   Excellent filet and shortribs! Wonderful service by waitress Sam; she is terrific! We used to love this place when it was Steve and Rocky’s. Glad to see that some of our favorite things about the place (excellent food, great service and the beloved aquarium) are still there.

    Our 1st time to Brentwood. A great experience. The Mangers came by to greet us and made us feel welcome. Our server, Denise, was outstanding; offered suggestions, paced us , and was so pleasant. There were 4 of us and we each had something different as the main course. All were very good. The homemade soups were delicious. Drink pours were just right. We’ll be back for sure. John R.
