Briny Swine Chicago is a seaside-inspired smokehouse and oyster bar in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood featuring Carolina-style barbeque, seafood and Lowcountry classics, served with a side of sass. It’s a local joint where friends and family gather to laugh and forget about life in the big city while they get in on some Southern hospitality and good eatin'. Rosé, bourbon, cocktails and beer are aplenty...and on a steady flow.

Whether you’re on vacation, passing by after a long day of work or catchin’ the big game, Briny is that place where all are welcome, from all parts, and no one cares about the rest.

Y’all, leave your worries at the door, take a seat, enjoy fine swine, wine and oysters while listening to the sweet sounds of rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass and honkey tonk.

We’ll take care of the rest.

The She Crab tasted like gravy, not soup. I would have thought that a company based in South Carolina would have known how to make this wonderful dish. Th brisket was pretty bland. It was nice to have a choice between lean and a faty cut. The Mac and Cheese was awful. It was dry and unappetizing. The okra was terrific.

Hi there Vincent. Thank you for taking the time to visit Briny. We're sorry to read that the food fell so short of your expectations. We take all your feedback to heart, and hope you'll give us another try in the future.

Great time with some classic BBQ! So nice to have a legit BBQ spot in Lincoln Park. Reasonable value considering how much quality food you get. And great daily and HH deals! We can’t wait to come back.

Really salty… the food was not very good. I love BBQ, but they miss the mark here. Beautiful space. Service was good. Price was very expensive for what they gave us.

Unfortunately this restaurant meets the standard of its location by catering to college kids and recent graduates living in the area. The food was nothing special and the prices were pretty high. There is much better bbq and food around the city. Skip this one
Briny Swine - ChicagoResponded on 19 October 2024
Hi there, Molly - thank you for takin' the time to visit Briny Swine. We're sorry to hear the overall experience didn't meet your expectations. As a family-owned restaurant with a little one ourselves, we pride ourselves in welcoming everyone in the community, especially area residents and their loved ones. Our live music program attracts a lot of blues, country and rock enthusiasts, too. We certainly do have some fun daily specials that appeal to all, including college aged students, but the Briny family extends far and wide! We hope you'll give us another try in the future.

I think the food is good but it wasn’t really hot when we got it. I have a feeling the waiter was new to waiting tables and will learn to better organize his service.
