    Deanna was an excellent server and we enjoyed: shrimp risotto, lamb chops, spaghetti & steak salad. Since it was Christmas Brunch surprised there were no holiday decorations or any holiday music

    We have booked Brio for Christmas Eve for years (sans Covid) and always enjoyed the experience (why we keep going back). I expect to be patient, I expect the $400 bill, I expect it to be loud. What I didn’t expect was an hour for appetizers (table of 5 mind you) and 15 minutes to get a refill of water. Something happened this year, and a 7:30 seating had us out of there at 10 pm with incredibly slow food, and poorly plated at that. We have decided to give another restaurant the business for New Years. We might have to hang up Brio at Easton.

    Ordered a dish and asked the server if it was spicy and he said no. But it was so spicy I could not eat it. I have to be gluten free and thank goodness my friend also ordered gluten free as then we just swapped meals. The server did offer to bring us something else but we worked it out. I originally wanted lasagna, but then he said that was a typo on the menu and it wasn’t gluten free. There was a big party next to us that was super noisy. And they sat us at a 2 top right next to a doorway and a family party and I didn’t like that. When you are having a meal, bread and a bottle of wine, a 2 top just is NOT big enough. Next time I will make sure to speak up if they try to do that. But they were really busy and we were trying not to make waves. The server did offer us complimentary ice cream since the meal was so spicy and we got just one and split it. The GF bolognese was just ok. Pasta was a little undercooked and the sauce was skimpy. Overall it was an ok experience but not near as good as past visits. This is a place we always go when visiting the area but might skip it next time after this latest disappointing visit.
