   It was a busy Saturday night. Our server, Julio did a great job keeping up with us and all of his other tables. He was attentive and prompt with the drink, appetizer and entree orders. Food was cooked as requested and tasted great.

   Service was excellent, our waiter was very patient about our several requests as we waited an extremely long time for our order. He explained that the kitchen was backed up and I believe he did his best to move things along. We had 3 children with us who were up past their bedtime due to a long wait. Special kudos then to our waiter. Food was excellent and well-prepared too.

   I have ordered the gorgonzola beef medallion with mashed potatoes, mushrooms, gravy and veggie for 15 years. A lot of Brio restaurants closed during pandemic, except Fair Oaks Mall. My hostess, bartender and waitress were nice. The restaurant was 95% empty indoors for two hours and we had a table of 9, the largest party until the last 30 minutes we were there. I chose this restaurant for my birthday, because in the past I hosted events for a company there, and had a good relationship with the former manager, though he was no longer there. My problem was my food. When I received the plate, the beef medallions were the size of three quarters, though they used to each be triple the size (ordered the same food most visits for 15 years in Tyson’s Corner, Short Pump, and NJ; with a few visits to Fair Oaks). I was shocked to see how small they are now. Also, I asked for medium well with the center to be a juicy pink, but they were overcooked, had no flavor and were dry as liver. I told the waitress that my food was dry when she asked me, plus the free mushrooms and gravy were missing. I was told the manager would come by to speak to me, but he walked past my table many times looking away from us and he never stopped. He was attentive to another table of 3 of people who looked like they were his relatives; not sure though). In the end, my birthday dinner food was disappointing to me, so this will be my last visit to Fair Oaks Mall Brio’s. Also, my birthday dessert arrived without a song nor candle, so my family sang. I was charged for the extra mushrooms that I was told were free. I am disappointed in the manager ignoring our table.

   Foods are good as usual. Foods with sauces are usually too salty. Services are usually good but sometimes not too attentive.

   Our server Yelena did a great job on a busy night. She checked back with us regularly and all courses were delivered as ordered in a timely manner. Will come back again.

    Our server Eric was fabulous! We opted to sit outdoors since it was nice out, it was quite pleasant. Our food took a very long time to come out but we did not mind since we weren’t in a hurry. Our server kept coming over to check on us while we waited for our food. Food was tasty and overall we had a good time. Will return soon
