   Brix is one of our ‘go to’ Sunday lunch options and is always dependable with great dining choices in a wonderful setting throughout the year. Today, we enjoyed pasta, shrimp scampi and short rib ravioli, which was excellent. Kitchen seemed a bit slow but it didn’t matter since we enjoy the venue and views.

   Food was not as described in the menu and it was late due to an event that was being held. Staff was great but I was not happy that we waited so long and then the order of my burger did not even have the Bacon Marmalade.

   Had lunch (filet mignon) and it was all delicious - except the dessert. Still frozen in the middle and nearly tasteless. Service great, wine selection great. I would still go back and just skip dessert.

   Nice venue, but outside seating feels a bit sterile. Food was mostly a hit, with some misses. Overcooked Ravioli with little flavor. Fried Chicken was a bit dry. Service was excellent!!!

   It was our anniversary and we were disappointed in the server for our table. She was minimally polite. We felt she did not want to serve us. She did wait around for any response or questions we may have about our order. At the end, she gave us our CC card and said, happy anniversary then left before we could respond as if it pained her to say it. I observed her with other patrons, and she went out of her way to be extra and laughing. I have always had a great experience with Brix. For years, I hosted pharmaceutical events there. I think something changed after the recent election, and as African Americans, we have already seen subtle acting out at numerous restaurants, but never expected to experience it at Brix.

   Not first time at Brix. This visit the flow, vibe, and/or organization was off. Looking around there was not many of the staff that even could fake a smile. That seemed sad unto itself. Getting a drink at the bar was not going to happen. Saw a couple of groups that just gave up and walked away. There was a joking game with other customers on how long the wait was for a table despite having a reservation. Heard one group say over an hour. It would have been a simple nice touch to send someone over to the waiting lounge to take first round drink orders. There was not even a basic 'sorry we are running behind tonight.' Not clear if reservations mattered or not. Maybe the model was just first come first serve? Perhaps, this was just a really off night? No idea on what wasn't working. We will pass on Brix for the foreseeable future.

    Wow, what a mess. Arrived at 5p for a 630p reservation. "We seat you at 630p" Any chance to get in early at bar? "Bar not open for dinner...not drinks unless you carry to waiting room". 600p, any open tables? "Only outside"....did not explain outside covered and enclosed. We envisioned freezing. 630p...came and went. Sat outside at 710p.so much for reservations!!! Flat iron steak came cold. ..way too rare. Tough, cut wrong into chunks instead of sliced. Hostesses rude.... Waiter great. We have brought big groups here, sat at bar and had great dinners past years. Not going back after this experience....
