We pay tribute to the rugged individualism of Pensacola’s unique historic cultural significance, specifically its Spanish influence. Real and super-rustic, the kitchen presents Old World cookery at its roots, with all the layers peeled back. Brother Fox utilizes a live-fire approach to cooking almost everything that we serve, from coal-roasted oysters to Carne Asada for two, served with hot tortillas. Our beautiful outdoor seating sets the stage for a casual meet up with friends for a glass of wine from regions near and far, carafes of Bathtub Gin or Sangrias from the bar. Inside, the cuisine and casually elegant design are the embodiment of a “neighborhood” spot that caters to visitors and residents alike, for special occasions, celebrations, and some of the finest wood-fired cuisine in Pensacola. Imagine food with soul, both exciting and traditional, in a breezy setting, right in the heart of Old East Hill.

We are open daily for Dinner at 5pm

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve paella. The saffron rice had a nice crust and was filled with clams, mussels and shrimp. The dollops of aioli finished it nicely. The reserve Rioja was perfect with it. Our server was personable and professional, a great combination. After give a shout out to the bar tenders at Sister Hen. They were absolutely slammed but made those of us at the bar feel like we were the only ones there. As we waited for our table, time flew as we watched them artfully make one cocktail after another. And finally, a shout out about the pan con tomate we had as our starter. That’s worth a trip just for it. So simple but the garlicky toast with the chopped tomatoes was just perfection.

Took my wife for Christmas Eve dinner, debating on a couple other places but she had never been to Brother Fox.... should have gone to Agape or V Paul's. Service was excellent, friendly and ambiance was nice. Food quality , mediocre at best. Presentation, ok. We had appetizers, salad and entree but NOTHING to make us want to come back. Pricing was on the higher end,it was known and expected ; but the are so many other establishments that would be a much better choice. For my wife... one and done. Lack luster is the best description.

We have dined at Brother Fox several times now and always have a great experience. The service, atmosphere, and food are wonderful. Megan was our server tonight. She was kind, attentive, and gave a great wine recommendation. Brother Fox is a true gem and one of my favorites places to eat.

Enjoyed charcuterie board, drinks were delicious. The patatas bravas were soggy and the chicken croquettes lacked flavor. Our filet was subpar with no flavor. After spending $300 you would think we could have gotten into Sister Hen. Overall disappointing.

Had a great experience the first time we were there. This time was still good but not the same. the Service in Sister Hen is outstanding. The service this time in Bother Fox, not so much. The room was freezing and our Server forgot to tell the manager to turn the ac off since it was only 50 degrees outside. They were not busy although they were out of some of the menu items that we loved from a couple weeks ago. Special was just the fish of the day. The server did not know that we were in Sister Hen and had Hendricks Gin there and told us they were out in Brother Fox. Waited and they finally served Hendricks Gin. Our Server was very good and I realize they were just doing what they were told - so not their fault. Then we finally tried the Paella - it fell short of all the other items on the menu. The seafood was over cooked and the rice, although cooked - was not crusty as in Spain. So that was a disappointment. Their wine list is awesome and had a little of something for everyone. We will still go there since the appetizers and cocktails and Sister Hen are AMAZING - but just something to think about. Consistency is a big deal - and we are locals. Onward and Upward. We will be back for the experience as I mentioned before.

This is a relatively new space. I am sure they will get their footing but everything we were served was either over cooked (octopus) and tough or so sloppy and ridiculous in presentation it was difficult to eat and enjoy with anything approaching good manners (wagyu beef carpaccio). The drinks were quite nice and the speakeasy adjacent to the restaurant had absolutely lovely drinks and a different menu. Great space- I would return after reading the kitchen has it together.

We were a party of four celebrating a 40+ year friendship and Christmas. We had the charcuterie board to start with our cocktails. The cheeses were delicious, especially the Drunken Goat; and, who knew there were caper berries? Two of us shared the paella. The seafood was cooked well - no rubbery shrimp! - and the rice had just the right spicy bite. One enjoyed the pork chop which was tender and very flavorful. The fourth had the low country boil - sorry to sound boring - again, cooked very well and delicious. Desserts enjoyed were the flan, a decadent mocha torte and an espresso martini. We had the best experience. Our server, Bre R was very personable, knowledgeable about the dishes and just the right amount of attentive. The only drawback is that it is very noisy with all the surrounding excited conversations, to the point that it is impossible to hear and carry on a conversation with your across-table dining mate. That said, we highly recommend Brother Fox.

This was our first Dining experience at Brother Fox. We will not be back…the service was extremely slow and we were actually the first couple dining this evening so it wasn’t busy yet. The food overall was ok but came out cold (after waiting on it for an hour). It was extremely noisy in the main dining area and tables are sat FAR too close together. Not impressed
