   The views were spectacular but the meal was comically terrible. Started with watermelon poke and jumbo scallops. Thought the watermelon poke was an inventive play on poke with watermelon and ahi tuna. Nope, $28 watermelon drenched in soy sauce. Jumbo scallops were the 2 babies of the jumbo scallops. The most boring scallops I’ve ever eaten. Butter? Salt? Something? Main course. I got the macadamia nut mahi mahi and my husband the coffee rubbed steak. My mahi mahi was super dry. Like take a bite and then take a drink to wash it down dry. Also, so very boring. It felt like the mahi mahi filet was previously frozen similar to one you’d buy in bulk at Costco. The steak was great! Mole had some spice. My husband won. Our server gave off zero f’s which was comical to a degree. “Sure, get the mahi mahi. Everyone gets it. It’s Hawaii” sort of vibe. The best part of the meal was our table, views, and live music. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

   Expensive. Oysters great. Surf and surf okay but lobster undercooked and food cold. Didn’t eat but wonderful waitress replaced the lobster and the new dish was hot and delicious. Great atmosphere and lovely live. background music

   Everything was really wonderful. The location is lovely right by the ocean. The food was so delicious and flavorful. I had Kanpachi and it was light and cooked perfectly! The fillet was perfect. And the Uber rolls are so, so tasty. Highly recommend!!

   Had the Lobster Bisque. It was very tasty, very interesting take with chilli oil infused in it. The ambience and service was top notch. I had the crusted Mahi Mahi. It was so overdone and dry I had to gulp s large sip of wine to keep my mouth moist. The dryness was exasperated by the potatoes side dish. VERY disappointing for the calibre of a Fairmont restaurant, having Mahi Mahi on the Island of Hawaii. Expected much much more for the price of dinner, especially for Valentines.

   This restaurant was amazing and the sunset was glorious. We had excellent service and the food was delicious as well. We would definitely go back. It is expensive and it is not large portions but the ambience and live music and good service is worth the expense.

   Beautiful outdoors restaurant with beautiful ocean and sunset views. My scallops appetizer and duck breast entree were very good. My martini and wine pours were OK, but I was overcharged by $4 ($29 vs $25) for the martini and $2 ($27 vs $25) for the wine (based on the prices noted in the menu). Expensive ($200 for dinner for one person).

    We had a lovely dinner and evening. The setting is incredible. Staff were all so friendly , knowledgeable and helpful. Food was delicious. They had a pineapple cosmopolitan that was so very tasty (special that night).
