Buona Forchetta started in 2011 as a craving of Matteo’s to bring some of his native Italy to our adopted home of South Park. We found the perfect corner and built the perfect oven. Since then, we’ve strived to deliver an exceptional and authentic Italian experience to our customers keeping our focus on the simple recipes that Matteo grew up on. We owe a huge “grazie” to our neighbors who have joined us on this awesome journey, and we hope that you will continue to be part of our story.

It’s loved by the area’s families for kid-friendly touches: Pasta dishes can be ordered in smaller portions, and the restaurant’s Liberty Station location has two play areas, plus a vintage red Fiat converted into a dining table.

Amazing food! Focaccia and Eva pizza were excellent. Also, their salads are so fresh a nd tasty as a starter or side! Our friends had gnocchi with their Buona Forchetta sauce and would recommend. My kids also love, love, love their fresh fettuccini noodle with butter. Simple but delicious! 😆 Such a warm, cozy experience and great service!

Buona Forchetta has been fantastic so far, both of the times that I have gone. My recent visit was an absolutely enjoyable experience. I'm not sure if that's because I made a proper reservation or because they paid attention to the note that we were celebrating a birthday when I made a reservation, regardless, I have nothing but great things to say about the service and the staff. They were entirely accommodating and especially friendly which was so refreshing because most places, while some may be friendly, aren't entirely genuine about it which is okay but the difference makes the experience. Our waiter, Giacomo, was really funny as he liked to joke but was also so patient with our party and all around friendly. The food was delicious, I got the Buona Forchetta named after the restaurant itself and also got Tiramisu for dessert which was heavenly. My friends ordered the Chocolate Mousse which was indulgent and delectable. The ambiance was perfect for our friends' dinner party of 8. I only have high praise and highly recommend this restaurant.

The pizza was good, the pasta was so spicy we could barely eat it (and we like spicy foods), and the Tiramisu was average at best (lady fingers were not soaked enough and dry, and didn’t even have a espresso/coffee flavor… the main taste was the chocolate syrup drizzled over it… not so great or authentic) Service was so-so, friendly but slow and waters were never refilled. I would maybe return for some takeout pizza…
