   Our table was in a nice position where we could look out of the window, we were warm, nice lighting. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our meals were cooked beautifully and tasted lovely. We will definitely visit again soon .

   Two courses for £13 was such good value and quality of food was nicer than places where we’ve paid triple! Lovely friendly staff and locals. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

   Dawn was our waitress and was so welcoming and encouraging when discussing the menu. It was a lively Sunday afternoon with the football and families so we felt at ease even with our own lively children! Three meat roast was INCREDIBLE!

   Very busy Christmas weekend! Staff very welcoming and attentive. Warned food might be a while but didn’t take long. Fantastic home cooked roast with extra gravy provided and gorgeous puds to follow also home cooked. Very reasonable in price. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

   Despite the pub being very busy in the run up to Christmas, the food was excellent and very tasty. The staff co ordinated the arrival of our mains to coincide with the arrival of our grandson's main, as he had had a starter too, which was great. We have never had a poor plate of food at the pub.

   Went last night Place has a superb feel,about it as a village pub with lots of locals of all ages. Had the steak and I don’t know where they get it from but it was superb. No fat or gristle. It had everything you’d expect with it and a good portion of chips too. Desert was great, cookie dough baked in the over with ice cream. My wife had pie and mash which is what she wanted even before she saw the menu and Eton Mess which had a twist to it as it was more tropical. Wine was very reasonably priced for anywhere going out these days and probably 2/3 of what you’d pay in a restaurant. First time there - definitely going again as there’s quite a bit on the menu to get through.

   As usual, the food was really nice at the Butchers. The beer battered fish and chips was very nice indeed. The service was good and not at all pushy. A nice evening out.

    Delicious Sunday lunch, both had roast beef. Excellent value. Very nice roast vegetables and sides. Great service, thank you.
