    It is always an interesting and amazing culinary experience!!! You never truly know that the food will look like or how it will taste (it usually ranges from wonderful to great) you spend the rest of the evening going over the menu and asking yourselves "which was your favorite dish"? So if you're thinking of going - just do it! You won't be disappointed!!!

    I took a date to Patrik’s and we had a delightful dinner. The decor is minimal except for the cool old Citrone antique car. We took some pictures of it because we both remember that car from our time in Paris. But to the food, we had the 7 course dinner with wine paring. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. The quality and taste exceptional. The plating was outstanding. And 2 of the wines were a first for us. Very nice. Our server was professional, efficient and friendly. Very fun to talk to in fact.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the special dinner and wine tasting at BPPK, featuring the fabulous wines from Diablo Paso. Enrique Torres, the award winning winemaker, was a delight to talk to. He shared his passion for the wines he produces in the Spanish tradition and explained what went into the creation of each of his unique wines. We especially loved his Max and Nico and the albariño. It was a wonderful evening and chef Pettersson paired his menu perfectly with the selections. These monthly wine events are a fantastic way to learn about interesting wineries and sample the chef’s always amazing cuisine. If you haven’t been to By Patrik Pettersson, you are missing a Sarasota culinary treasure.

    The most expensive worst “tasting menu” experience I have ever had. Petite, minuscule food portions of low quality food paired with wines that were probably bought from Publix… And only three different varietals poured over five courses for $75 per person… And the “culinary experience” of the “chef‘s table“ being a galley kitchen that was looked like a long abandoned counter except for a hot plate on which the “substitute chef“ was cooking. $450 after tip. Awful!

    My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at By Patrik Peterson and enjoye the Prix Fixe meal and paired wines. The food was surprising, well prepared and delicious. The wines were all well paired to each course. The service was professional. The atmosphere is the only downside, it’s in the lobby of a hotel and the noise and people checking in were distractions during an excellent meal / experience. Would recommend!

    This may have been our best meal at By Patrik Pettersson. There were some new dishes on the menu - which is always changing - but the Vension was new and outstanding - melt in your mouth wonderful! The Branzino was great - and I don't like fish but I loved this dish! He had a new wine for us to try which was perfect with our dinner. I don't know where he finds them. All and all, I don't know how Patrik will top this dinner! The service is always wonderful and the people are always friendly but not overly so. Looking forward to our next meal there! Thanks for another wonderful experience at this hidden gem!

    By Patrik Pettersson is the most inventive restaurant in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. Patrik (the chef) changes his menu every 3 weeks and is always coming up with dishes and ingredients I have never imagined that work really well together. We have eaten all over the world - dining in Paris is something we do on a regular basis - yet, we love being able to eat some unbelievable food in our own backyard! Justin runs the show making sure the courses aren't coming out too fast or too slow. He comes up with the most wonderful wines and always makes dining a pleasure. The staff is outstanding and makes sure we are well taken care of. I can't believe that the foodies aren't lining up for this one. Do not let the location - a hotel near the SRQ airport - put you off. The food and wine could be served in a cave or a fancy location and it would not make the experience any less or more desirable. We look forward to our next visit!!!!
