Fantastic gem! So glad I found this place and grateful they had availability for dinner during my stay. Would go back today if I could. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had diner with our son last night. We live nearby but haven’t been at the restaurant for sometime. It was lively ,the service was great,the chef was present which is a nice touch and the food was delicious. I’m happy to see the restaurant busy on a Saturday night. York Avenue can be tough given the lack of foot traffic.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but since we went there partly because of excellent online reviews, I want to add a different opinion. Our server was unacceptably uninterested in us - he actually didn’t try or couldn’t answer several of our questions about menu items, and at the same time was pushing us to order certain things (we didn’t ask for his recommendation). When entering, the first thing you see is a huge TV behind the bar, which already put us off. The decor is very old-fashioned (worn, wobbly tables, artificial plants), but what was worse was you could hardly hear each other. As for the menu, we felt many (most) dishes had something weird added to make the dish stand out, but something that actually didn’t fit the taste profile of the other ingredients at all. All in all, we didn’t like anything about the restaurant. (Party of 4, middle-aged couple and couple in their 20’s.)

Excellent Chef’s choice 6 course tasting and choice of wine pairing and overall excellent value and taste. Flavors were all new and delicious. Please try you will not be disappointed and will pleasantly be surprised and will come out very satisfied.

Wonderful tonnarelli cacio pepe, as hoped. Great bartender makes bar seating a preferred option, however the large TV screen is a bit assertive and out of place.

I always enjoy dining at Cacio e Pepe Uptown. Salvatore is a master of blending flavors that are unique and wonderful. Tonight I had the ricotta ravioli which sounds commonplace. But the rabbit ragu and roasted mortadella made it very special - it was wonderful. I tasted the seafood risotto that was very creamy and filled with seafood that was cooked just right. I usually have the Insalata 10, 20, 30 which is always fresh and delicious and a great way to start a meal. For dessert, we shared the tiramisù which is like no other tiramisù I've ever tasted. There is an Amaretto "tiramisù", seems like an Amaretto pudding, with apricot sauce on the side, and a cup of espresso granita which was fabulous and a great addition to the rest of the dessert. This was just a normal meal at Cacio e Pepe Uptown - it's always an adventure in sophisticated and delicious Italian dining.

Consistently Excellent food and service and Chef Salvatore very accommodating to kid’s food requests. Bartenders very knowledgeable and service staff aways attend to every request.
