   What a wonderful restaurant! We celebrated our 40th Anniversary. Scott waited on us and the evening was lovely! Look forward to returning in the future!!

   Cafe Monarch is one of the top restaurants in the world. The quality and uniqueness of the food, and the exceptional team service, is the best you will find anywhere. Our server, Giovanni, had a knowledge of wine similar to the best sommeliers around the world. This is not a “grab a bite to eat” restaurant. This is a place to go when you want to experience all of the nuances of the finest dining, service, and wine. I highly recommend the wine pairing.

   Dinner at Cafe Monarch was the perfect way to spend our special evening! Every detail was thoughtfully presented. The ambiance and top notch service is “Old School” Class… which is rare to find. Each carefully prepared dish had a full range of flavors which had us savoring every single bite! We are already looking forward to our next dinner! A definite must go for a very special dining experience.

   The best true upscale dining experience in Arizona. On par with French Laundry. Would definitely be a a Michelin star rated restaurant if there were any in Arizona.

   I decided to book a 4-course vegan meal for my husband's 30th birthday. It did not disappoint. The service was top-notch and subtle so interruptions were minimal and professional. The servers were polite and polished. The food was incredible and so full of flavor. They even treated him to a birthday sparkler and sorbet. They were out of the gnocchi which we were anticipating but it only gives us another reason to return. We ordered mocktails and they were fabulous in both presentation and taste. If you are a fan of wine you would love their incredible selection- be sure to bring serious funds. Drink highlight: Blueberry Smash, Golden Orchard, Infused House Water Food Highlight: Squash plate, Cauliflower soup, Oyster Mushrooms, Risotto

   Cafe Monarch was a outstanding experience. Starting with free valet parking, the restaurant has a peaceful fountain by a French door entrance. The hostess greeted us kindly and showed us to our seats at the bar. We prefer bar seating as we can sit side-by-side and have a more personal experience with the staff. The bar has an amazing assortment of liquor including full ranges of gin, vodka, whiskies and scotches and accompaniments. Our two bar tenders were very friendly without being intrusive. They let us get settled in with complementary bubbles and explained the dinner menu. The menu is a Prix Fix offering with a choice of either four or eight courses. The quantity of food on the two menus is nearly the same, so we chose the eight course dinner with more small bite choices on offer. As we needed to make modifications due to gluten and caviar allergies, the kitchen did an excellent job of adjusting the courses. We had chefs treat oyster, the autumn soup; sesame tuna; shrimp with grilled pineapple, avocado and radish; diver scallop with squash and pine nuts; a pleasant palate cleanser with lemon sorbet, berries and hibiscus; pork belly with apple, current, peppers and goat cheese; lamb chops with carrot, spinach and brioche; and A5 Wagyu filet mignon and short rib, bell pepper, and broccolini. Desert was a Chocolate cream with cookie. We had the Petite Fours with coffee and tea. At $290 it was a worthwhile and outstanding feast. We are planning to return to Cafe Monarch when next in Phoenix.
